Noah.

Hibbert had it, and lost it.

LeBron isn't even in the conversation this year, they're terrible.

I'd give it to Jo
but I'd give DeAndre Jordan some votes as well

Not sure how hes been doing but imo ibaka has been the best defensive player in the league for the past several years and its a shame hes never won one

nah not really, ibaka is one of those players that gets a lot of blocks but is an overrated defender. solid? yes, best?no

Would be a travesty if Noah doesn't win it.

This season OKC's opponent ORTG is actually better with Ibaka on the court than off.

He blocks shots, but he's one of the more overrated defenders in the league.

yeah the problem is the pacers have been underwhelming these past few games, and we all know that people vote on recent memories.

Put it this way, I have no doubt that if lebron averages 40 in the remaining games he will win mvp even though durant deserves it. it is what it is.

I think noah will win it though

Noah's been on an absolute tear this year. If he doesn't get it, I really wonder who else is in his league.... Hibbert is the only one I can think of.

Noah certainly deserves something for the season he is having.

Didn't think I'd have to spell it out, but what's the self proclaimed DPOY doing in the pic? :lol

Anyway, Noah for me.

Hibbert went from the heavy favorite to now 2nd place to Noah.

I wonder if he got a tattoo of his self proclamation would help the media hype him up for DPOY.

I didn't watch this so someone explain to me what Bran is doing. Is he covering anyone? I'd figure they would hide him on Robin Lopez at least if he was struggling but not even that. Why is he watching the play and depending on his help around him to do something? I figure'd he would be on Lillard at least.

Bron is coasting. He's not anywhere near the DPOY level defense he is capable of. I can tell he doesn't even want that MVP, he looks like he doesn't care out there sometimes. He'll be back to his dominant self come the playoffs.

Give it to Joakim Noah and give that dude some MVP consideration as well! (I know he wont win it, but w/e)

There are a couple of people who more or less deserve it i guess (ibaka, hibbert, howard, lebron, noah, davis, jordan, george etc.), but NOBODY really stands out imo just like last year... hell lets just give it to Marc Gasol again...

Noah doesn't stand out? What do you expect? Bill Russell?

I'd give it to Noah. Iggy and PG also should receive consideration (maybe Hibbert and Butler as well).

Butler, Iggy, Tony Allen all deserve a few votes, one could argue Dwight too I guess. It'd be blasphemy if Noah didn't get it this year though.

Unless Noah puts out a turd every night, he should be automatic selection.

Not fair, you're just comparing him to the guy in your avy. We're talking league's best here

Exactly, not a single guy stands out... its not very clear whatsoever, its not something like MVP right now (Durant stands out, its just very easy to see who will win it, guaranteed, understand?).... and Noah certainly doesnt stand out more than Hibbert and especially not more than Ibaka.... Noah didnt even get any type of DPOY recognition until Kevin McHale made that comment.

Their defensive ratings are 96 for Noah to 105 for Bran.. and its not like Bran is known for his man defense. Hes not on Noah's level at all. Its like comparing a 20ppg scorer to a 30+.

It doesn't work that way. Defensive rating is a product of team defense.

For example, Carlos Boozer's is 99, top 10 in the league among starters.
