Their sell-out, pop-ass sound is horrid now, but man, that album is gold.

They've gone back to playing a ton of this album when they tour live. Not as much stuff from the other albums anymore.

I liked it at the time but I feel like I have outgrown it (for lack of a better word). I used to think it was awesome but now it just feels too teenagery.

Damn, you guys are not old enough to be cool. That's gay-metal.
I had hair metal and the 90's grunge scene to deal with. It was awesome. Music these days is ****ed and Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Creed and all the other 1998 - onwards bands ruined music.

If you don't like that album, I can't trust you. It's that simple.

You're downing Linkin Park to up hair metal? At least LP sang about real topics. Even if it was emo. Hair metal is corny fake machismo. And I like some of it BTW.

I said grunge as well. I consider Metallica to be hair metal though

Linkin Park at the time of Hybrid Theory was nothing like anything Creed or Limp Bizkit was. Incomparable.

Metallica was considered "speed metal" in the early 80's ( compared to early metal bands like Sabbath and Scorpions...no way it's viewed as "Hair Metal"
Hair metal = Poison , Motley Crue / more poppish bands that came out in the late 80's early 90's.

What? I'm one of the most optimistic and positive people on this forum. You must have the observational skills equivalent to Rebecca Black's musical talent. Saying an okay album is merely okay means I'm miserable? Why are you being so melodramatic and overly sensitive? I don't have a big nostalgic connection to it like you and others do. "Their sell-out, pop-ass sound is horrid now" - That quote of yours if far more "miserable" than what I said.
That is a bizarre post...

Yeah, great album
What are they even doing today? Disco? I think I heard some shit like that in the radio.

The way I read it made it seem like you were being a smart ass. Sorry if you weren't.
I thought you meant it like "Oh, I really like the album, but I'm not between 20-27 so I can't like it near as much as someone that age."
My apologies you jackass.

Alright, that's cool. I wasn't trying to be an ass. There's some songs on there I like, but I find Crawling to be kind of annoying.
