It must be infuriating that a guy like Shaq who worked probably 10% as hard as Kobe...was clearly better than Kobe would ever be.

Swallowing that in addition to not being the man had to drive Kobe crazy...LOL

These guys really had a chance to be the greatest duo in NBA history, yet they were so petty, lol. It's unreal. They refused to work with team trainers that taped the other guys ankles, lmao.

LMAO Kobe like a real life Rust Cohle

LMAO Kobe gets beat up by Chris Childs and Reggie Bell. Dude would legit shit his pants going up against Erroll Childress. The tough guy act of his is as fake as it gets. He was a little bitch growing up in Italy and later the suburbs. Has lost every fight he has been in the NBA. And demanded a trade when he couldn't win without the best frontcourt in the NBA.

'08 Pau was so dominant that he led his Grizzles to a 10-29 record, didn't make an allstar team, didn't make an all-nba team, and didn't receive a single MVP vote. "Dominant"

I don't blame Kobe for feeling that way... but his mentality is due to a lot of insecurity. He has probably been driven to madness at times by it. Shaq is a big kid and wasn't/isn't changing for anyone.

Out in the wild Shaq probably wouldn't survive... except as a crony for someone like a Kobe. It's all survival stuff. This is the NBA though... I'd much rather be a Shaq than a Kobe, but we all can't be 7'1 300 + and super athletic.

Godzuki

kobe's right. Shaq was one of the laziest players ever. he was notorious for being lazy and a injury sissy. people forget about that where he's so glorified now and critiquing other players from the studio.

Kobe has that MJ competitiveness in him. thats the closest to MJ he is tho.

Soundwave
03-26-2014, 10:19 PM
If Shaq had Kobe's work ethic he'd probably be the GOAT, so I can kinda respect where Kobe is coming from. Say what you want about Kobe, but dude works his ass off.

That said though I think this is one area where MJ was a better leader than Kobe, he could ride teammates hard too, but he knew when to back off and he knew how to deal with different personalities (like Rodman). Kobe sees everything in black and white. MJ would gotten Shaq's act and challenged him to be better, but in a way that wouldn't have threatened Shaq's ego, Kobe's mistake was try to have an even bigger ego than Shaq.
