You misinterpret sympathy for likeness, Guy can't win so he's getting all those sympathy from world wide fans.
it's not his fault he's playing in the King's era.

Appreciating LeBron's game is where it ends for me, as I cannot stand his personality. Everything about him annoys me. Same goes for Wade, who actually used to be one of my favorite players.
You're one of the few that dislikes BOTH KD and Lebron.

I can't help but like Durant because he's from the DMV and his game is beautiful. He needs to come home and play for the Wiz

I dislike LeBron but Durant is just dull to me.
Neither really interest me above all else.
Good thing I have a team to follow because as far as individual stars are concerned Kobe is pretty much all I have left as far as those I follow.
Although I like Dirk too.

Lebron: great player but acts like an annoying, flopping **** on the court. Has an attitude that completely reflects his life filled with yes-men and people calling him The Chosen One. He's one of the greatest who ever played, but an annoying piece of shit that I can't stand.
Durant: great player and clutch as hell, but has one of the most rage-inducing moves in the game (that retarded rip through), lives on the free throw line, and markets himself with a fake-humble personality (the Servant? Are you fvcking kidding me?) while also racking up the techs because he's an asshole.
For the record, star players currently playing that I like are Westbrook, Noah, Curry, Love, Gasol, Duncan and Z-Bo.

They're good guys. But that's the problem. I want my 'best player in the league', whichever one of the two it is, to be a complete asshole. Bird was an asshole. As was Jordan. As was Kobe. Lebron is more annoying than an asshole. Durant is too nice and it's cringeworthy watching him trying not to be. This soft ass buddy buddy shit era has turned the superstars soft and I don't like it. CP3 and Westbrook are old school though.

It amazes me how people rewrote history to make people like Jordan more likeable than they really were. Lebron and Durant have done nothing to warrant the hate they get besides being good. They play basketball. That's it. No off the court drama, no arrest, no fights, nothing.

Nobody is actually a fan of KD. They just hate Lebron.
Two years ago, they were Kobe fans. Kobe is really their favorite player.
They switched to Rose at the beginning of the season
Then Paul George
Then Durant
Then Carmelo
Then Kobe for his brief return
Then back to Durant, where they have remained.
Once again, Durant has no fans (stans). They are Lebron haters/Kobe fans.

Love him. Absolutely love the dude.
I like Dirk a lot, I like Kobe's personality a lot but don't care for his play style, and I like Duncan a lot as well.
Edit: Also really like Westbrook and Zbo. I like Griffin a lot too, somehow he flops less than LBJ does now. For past players Idk how anyone can like MJ as a person really and Bird is just the man.

LeBron isn't in my top 5 of favorite players in the league, but I defend him because he's on the Heat. I do like him and I don't think he's as bad personality wise as people make him out to be. Yah he's arrogant, but he's been the "chosen one" since his teenage years. I can understand why he would be that way, but I think he's matured a lot more since first coming to Miami. He does still say stupid things though.
I also like Durant. There's nothing for me to dislike about him. Yah the refs give him a ton of FTs and I don't buy the "most humble player in the league" thing, but it's not like he's bad off the court. He's just a normal guy (personality wise) who is an elite basketball player. I don't expect the players to be robots on the court.
Both players are likable. Both players have their flaws. Do not hate the players because of their stans. Appreciate both players and you will find yourself enjoying basketball a bit more.

I can understand not liking the way Durant complains to refs, but he's just looking for an edge and trying his best to win games. You can't really look down at that, do whatever it takes to win. Off the court, he's probably the most likable player in NBA history.

No, he's just an MVP.
If KD wins the award (as he should) I guarantee you that the media is going to go apewild and try to forcefeed the public any mention about LeBron*. Why? Because he gets ratings, he's the face of the NBA, not KD. There WILL be commentators and anchors talking about how KD got it over LeBron*...
Tell me this, did Karl Malone get branded or treated like a superstar when he won the MVP over MJ?

It's whatever the media deems them to be. Ever since MJ the media's been slobbering over any players d!ck that's been supposed to be the next MJ. Only TWO players have come close: Kobe and LeBron. And the media has whored them out to the public without shame.
Superstar does NOT mean 'best player in the league'.

Nope, he (Malone) didn't get the media exposure. Shaq did, but his time was brief between the time MJ stepped off the court in '98 until Kobe came to be a great player (didnt take long).
Only person from your list that I'd consider a superstar is Barkley, I remember he got a LOT of attention in the early 90s. Hakeem never came close.

I lost my respect for Kevin Durant when he immediately stormed off the court and didn't shake anyone's hands after choking against the Suns. He was all smiles and friendly when the Thunder were up big, but the Suns came from behind to win at the end and KD showed his true colors as a sore butt-hurt immature little kid.
I guarantee if the Thunder won that game he would've been high fiving all the Suns players and taking his time before leaving the court. Fake ass mofo
