They really mismanaged everything. The Jrue trade was terrible. Signing Reke LOL. Gordon? LOL. They should have kept Noel and dump everyone else excluding AD and tanked hard.

Wiggins-AD-Noel with max cap space to entice Bran.

PG- who cares
Wiggins
Bran
AD
Noel

Evans has been great as of late...also the team got pounded by injuries ( Gordon, Holiday, Anderson). They'll be fine.

Tyreke has been a top 10 player over the past 3 weeks or so, and for $4 million dollars per year...

I stopped reading after that cause OP is clueless.

You play too much 2k.

Once you find your franchise player you do everything to build a winning culture around him. Though I would've kept Noel, and signed Reke to play him at PG.

Should have never included this year's pick for Jrue. They are on pace to get the 11th pick, could very well get someone like McDermott, Aaron Gordon or Cleanthony Early.

I like the Tyreke signing , but Noel + 1st for Jrue was a horrible trade. Noel and Davis could have played together

I think Jrue and Reke will play well together. They definitely need to get rid of Eric Gordon though, that guy is a scrub who can't stay healthy.

Guys idk what you're talking about Noel is gonna kill it. Dude's won like 3 DPOY and got some rebounding titles in my 2k league.

WTF? Davis is a 2nd year player and gonna be allstar for something like the next decade. He hasn't been screwed.

For a small market team, I do feel like they tried to go all-in a little too early. I still think they need to move either Gordon or Evans. Tyreke cannot come off the bench, and Gordon has wanted out of town since the day they signed him.

I wanted to see the Pelicans try and move Gordon for Granger. Gordon would have been a perfect fit in Indy, and Granger could have filled a weak SF spot for the Pels.

Would Bran join the Pelicans to play with Wiggins, AD, and Noel if they had max capspace?

Anthony Davis hasn't been screwed by anything. Judge the Jrue trade a little more down the line. Had Jrue remained healthy this season no one would even be talking about this.

Noel wasn't going to help the Pelicans do sh*t this year. Jrue would/could have had he remained healthy.

There comes a time when the tanking has to stop and the winning has to start. They would've been in playoff position had they had the good luck of good health. Relax.

Pelicans could still land number 1 and draft Embiid.

EMbiid and Davis - it's all over

Team without Eric Gordon this year- 6 wins, 1 loss

Wins over: Denver, Portland, Miami, Atlanta, Brooklyn, and the Clippers. Eric Gordon has never been in the long term plans, and we've been trying to move him. Nobody will ever take his contract though, so we're stuck with him. :(

I agree. They thought they could go to the playoffs this year, but it was best to them to don't trade their pick and tank this year.

Lol you can't screw a player that's in his second year in the league. Pelicans would be a competitive team, they're just injured as hell. Signing Tyreke was idiotic though, they need to move him and the walking injury

It's protected, to what pick I'm not quite sure. I think most feel that unless they tank to save the pick Ala Golden State a couple of years ago (when they got Barnes) then they'll finish just outside of the protection and lose it

False, Pelicans are not tanking and if you check record since Reke has started. They've pieced together some wins, they'll probably finish good enough to give a 12 pick to Philly. Also pick is top 5 protected.

Id rather have Jrue then Noel and a 10+ pick.

They should have tanked this year though and got another top 5 pick.

well he said unless they tank, and I meant it as they will not tank. It's too late at this point and they'd just give Philly a better pick.

I would say no to Aaron, homeless mans Blake Griffin.

Take out Jrue and Pelicans could get a top 5 pick this draft. The question then becomes would you rather have Noel + Parker/Exum/Smart or Jrue Holiday. I know what I'd rather have

Like we would have a top 5 pick with the way AD is playing this season. :oldlol:

Of course you do. And next season there will be another guy coming out of college that everyone thinks will be better than Parker/Exum/Smart. That's the problem with tanking and always looking for the next big thing.. when does it stop? When do you actually start trying to win games?

I'm happy with what the Pelicans have done. The record they have while missing the players they have due to injury is quite decent.

Only on 2k14 do I keep Noel.

Jrue has barely played this season so it would have been no different.
