View Full Version : Lebron James is not a Top 10 player of all time.

2011 finals choke is a serious detriment to his career. And let's not talk about teaming up because he wasn't good enough to lead his own team.
2013 he got exposed as being a scaredy cat who's afraid to shoot from the outside if he isn't open.
2014 he got exposed as whiny b1tch, who will throw his teammates under the bus.
2007 he got swept by the Spurs and Lebron was owned by an old Bowen. Seriously? Even Kobe a supposedly inferior player killed the Spurs everytime they played in the playoffs.

KObe is not a top 10 player of all time.
Swept by the Mavs in 2011.
Lost in 5 to the Pistons in 2004 Finals. 38% shooting and 4 turnovers per game.
Throws teammates under the bus every year. Cried for a trade out of LA until gifted Gasol.
6/24 shooting in game 7 of 2010 NBA Finals. Robs Gasol of FMVP

As someone who is not on either side, and is unbiased, I agree with 2011, but 2007? Are you serious??
MJ wouldnt have beat that spurs team, and btw, lebron had his best game ever(at the age of 21) against the pistons in that game 5. No game since has ever topped that one in terms of impact. He basically crushed the pistons dynasty by himself.
2011, i definately agree however. 2007 tho, imo, was LeBron's best year as a pro. And yes, i mean this. I have never seen LeBron drive to the rim, or cross over dudes, or hit fadeaway jumpers like LeBron did in the game 5 2007 ECF. LeBron sems to have declined from 2008 onwards sadly
next they are going to try to convince us that the world is flat. what is wrong with these kooks

Agreed. Dude needs to win a couple more rings and FMVP to really cement his legacy. One more will get him into 9th or so, another might get him into 6th.

Yep...there are a TON of players ahead of Lebron with more impressive resumes. There is a long list of players who have won four regular season MVPs, two FMVP's, two rings, led the league in scoring, and with multiple 30+ ppg post-seasons. All in ten seasons, and he is working in adding to that resume in this season.

hasnt cracked top 20 in my list
In that case nobody in the top 10 is a top 10 player considering all of them accumulated more negative playoff outcomes....
I really despise the ranking culture that dominated NBA fan base. There is no real consistency in the rankings and many lists just have to many holes for any legitimate discussion to be had. With that being said LeBron accolades are that of a top 10 player all time.
4 MVPs in 5 years isn't anything to scoff at, only Russell has done that I believe.
His consistency as an elite player in the league is something special as well. I think it can be argued that he has been a top 2 player in the league since 06 - 07. I'm not sure there have been many players that have as many elite seasons or have been among the elite for a extended period of time as LeBron.
With that being said, part of me really doesn't believe he is as good a basketball talent as guys like Kobe, TD, Shaq but it seems like he is destined to be ranked ahead of those guys.

As much as I'm not a fan of Bron, I have him at 10. But he doesn't have much room to move up. He's damaged so much of his career already that it's hard to see him moving much higher unless he gets like 4-5 more rings.

Wasn't really pretending that at all. However, I think one poster pointed out that there wouldn't be a significant difference in Media votes over peer votes. Voting systems has flaws whether it is peers, media, or coaches. Don't think it is logical to prop up one voting system over another when they seem similarly flawed.

Of course he is not. He needs to win at least 3 more without teaming up with more superstars. If he continues to win as his teammates age so that they are not that stacked anymore, his rings will finally have the actual value of a championship ring. But I know he's gonna bail on Miami and form another super stacked team which will be young enough to compete for 3-4 years.

He was the only superstar on his title teams. Wade was still at an all star level and Bosh was nothing special. To be honest the Heat's supporting cast doesn't even compare to the majority of the teams that have won post 2000's. I mean if we gonna devalue LBJ's titles than we need to devalue Kobe's, Shaq's, KG's, TD's rings as well.
I would like to use this as an opportunity to say that LeBron is a male prostitute.

From 2011
Lebron is talented, not skilled. The biggest skill he has tried to obtain was shooting, and he has improved in that regard, but it still disappears when it matters the most. So it was a nice try, I'll give him that, but mission not completed.
Other than that, he really did not improve on any of his skills; and mental strength, which seems to be his Achilles heel, is the hardest to work on, because there may not even be enough opportunities. Who can guarantee that they will make it back to the finals time and time again so Lebron can learn not to crumble under pressure? It's not really something that he can work on during regular season or early playoff series against inferior teams.
I see two ways of him getting a ring:
- Miami beats everyone easily because they have the most stacked team in the league, and Lebron would probably lead that charge, because he's a very good front runner.
or
- Wade, Bosh, and the rest come up bigger than they did last year, so even if Lebron stinks it up again, they still win, but Lebron doesn't get the FMVP award.
Either way, I will have zero respect for him.
My dude, what did LeBron do to your family? . :biggums:
