It's more amazing that Lebron is the center of some people's worlds and that those people think others should care about every dang detail of his life.

The rules now are seriously idiotic. They call a flagrant anytime a player falls awkwardly or hard...the problem is, that, that doesn't make it a flagrant. If you are stopping the ball with a hard foul that doesn't make it a "flagrant". They are giving these calls to players who had no flagrant intention. There has to be an intent to harm for a real flagrant to be called and basically 90% of the ones called these days are absurd.

"Intent" actually doesn't appear in the league's definition for what a flagrant foul should be. The word they use is "unnecessary." In other words, even if don't necessarily intend to smack someone in the face with your elbow, if you are out-of-control without taking into account the safety of your opponent, that constitutes a flagrant foul.

Trying to interpret a player's "intent" could result in even more arbitrary calls. Some guys are experts at masking their true intent.

As Spo said

In terms of the calls, I don't think anybody has a clear understanding of the rules, of what 'verticality' is, of what a flagrant foul is or is not. Sometimes it depends on the size of the player, of whether it is deemed unnecessary contact or unnatural contact.

There were two plays on Lebron that both could have been called a flagrant, but weren't.

I don't understand the call, that he lead with his elbow? That game was so poorly officiated
