It's ridiculous. I'm in a fantasy league with 6 other friends for money and I'm about to win the league for the 2nd year in a row.:oldlol:

It's just too easy, anyone else feel the same way?

I feel this all the time and not just with friends but with online members too. Not all friends are basketball fans but to smarter than most and more knowledgeable than most on a basketball forum says a lot.

I've been watching for a long time now so I know what I am talking about.

Fantasy has nothing to do with knowing about basketball though.

It has to do with effort (setting team up daily, making add/drops to win a week, and screwing people in trades).

I wasn't talking about fantasy. I don't play it.

Did you consider the possibility his comment wasn't directed at you?

Correct. Wasn't directed at you guru.

I see why you have trouble on the forums 9Empire. Can't even understand the flow of a conversation.

I remember when I was in class one day with a couple of the basketball players on our highschool team, and we got into an argument on whether Magic and Bird played eachother... they just dismissed my opinion because I didn't play basketball :facepalm

I don't pay attention to HS/College bball at all so my knowledge i guess is 1/3 or 1/2 as good as a lot of people but among my friends i'm prob the go to guy when it comes to NBA stuff.

If you mean basketball knowledge about how many pts/g LeBron scored in 2008 season etc.. Then yes, but if you are talking about plays, strategies and inner shit.. Than probably no.

I only have 2 friends that can really discuss ball with me. I mean, I'll talk ball with lots of people, but I don't take the time to really break down their opinions... because honestly, it's not worth the time, and it's not socially polite.

Op was talking about friends, your answer should of been no because you don't have friends. You see friends are someone that u hang out with. Posters on the internet that you fight with aren't your friends.

yea I dunno. Fantasy isn't really bball.

In terms of real bball... I dunno. I mean, what does it mean to know more about basketball? I'd say I have more in depth ideas about basketball strategy and can see the nuances of the game more than people I know and more than most forum-people.

Basketball, or most games, are pretty simple. There is drawn out offensive strategies and such, but at a certain point, I think it becomes more about analyzing players by their body language and feeling the flow of each team as a unit. Because of that, I can tell with almost 100% certainty when a game is over. Even like 3 minutes into it. That's why I don't watch much bball anymore cuz shit is too predictable.
