View Full Version : Who do the Warriors want, the Clippers or the Rockets?

I know it's more of a Warriors topic, but I've been going back and forth on this every day.
When I first started thinking about matchups the immediate answer was the Clippers. We've played them even the past two regular seasons (4-4), and although I think the Clippers are the better team, I also know the Warriors aren't intimidated, and can get hot on any given night.
The Rockets on the other hand, have pretty much whooped up on the Warriors in the regular season since the Harden acquisition. That said, the Rockets aren't really battle tested, and with Beverely going down, I'm starting to think I'd rather play the Rockets in a 4 - 5 matchup.
oh and another reason I was leaning towards the 3 - 6 matchup with the Clippers is because the Warriors would presumably play the Thunder instead of the Spurs in the 2nd round. Might be nice to catch the Thunder after a 6 or 7 game series with Memphis. :D

Probably the Clippers.
Warriors match up well against them. Won't be surprised if that series went to 7 games

I'm surprised you admit to thinking the Clipps are a better team. The Clippers are my fav team and Warriors are my 2nd fav team.
All I've got to say is it's going to be an awesome post season in the west. Can't wait.

rockets because curry can abuse lin so easily. the beverly injury is HUGE for the rockets. they will still be tough to beat though

is that why Lin has outplayed Curry as often as the other way when he started against him??

Beverley is slower and smaller than Lin and has worse IQ. how the fuq does would he defend Curry:wtf: :wtf: :biggums:

More intensity. Bev isn't out there to facilitate the offense or anything. He's out there to give 100% on defense every single play.
Rockets sorry defense would collapse against Curry & Klay.

We've only lost to them once in the last 2 seasons or something like that. i can't remember if either Steph or Klay really went off on us.

you are a cool poster and not a lin hater which i like but this beverley myth is so ridiculous.
he is NOT a good defender.
he sometimes annoys good guards but they go off on him regulary and beat him off the dribble sooo easily because he isnt that fast and because hes small/weak.
he is a pesky defender but at best average.
you know yourself how trash his offense is.
i guarantee you the rockets are better off with Lin playing huge minutes since hes a slightly better defender and ten times better on offense.
hes peaking at the right time and didnt play heavy minutes this year so barring injury he will be well rested and ready to go off.
that is if harden allows him to play basketball of course.
if Harden is generous enough to give lin more than 11 shots per game they will make the WCF since the Rockets are 17-2 in those games:coleman:

I might want Houston. We beat them with Iggy this year, and their PG rotation will be really thin if Beverly misses time.
Both teams will make for amazing matchups though :applause:

Him being so pesky and because the team doesn't rely on him for anything on offense is why he's the starting PG and why I think he's able to bother opposing PGs more than Lin. Lin has to come in and facilitate the offense and score for the second unit so he won't be able to take the same risks on defense that Bev can.
On offense I just dont think Lin will be given the opportunity to do anything but be a spot up shooter since Harden is so ball dominant.

If Bev is out the Rockets.
If Bev isn't out the Clippers.
Really is that simple. Bev gives Steph too many problems.

Harden is light years better then lin. the disparity is so large it is not funny. you don't take the ball out of the one of the best offensive forces in the league and give it to a above average player like lin. It is insanity . I know you are Asian and feel like bashing harden makes you feel better, but just shut the *** up.Every thread you're stupid posts are stick out like a sore thumb.

im caucasian actually and harden is not light years better. hes better but its really close.
not only lins stats without harden prove it but also his enormous impact on the game when harden is generous enough to give him the ball.
James Haren is better but not much. he only plays offense too

Doesn't really matter because the Warriors are out in the first round. But out of the top 3 teams they match up best against the Clippers. Warriors need to regroup and get a real coach.
