...another NBA player that goes to the finals at least 6 times and wins all 6 appearances along with winning the FMVP each and every time with never loosing a single finals series.

It's called perfection, and it's not ever going to happen again. We need to just accept it and deal with it. :pimp:

Agreed. I wish players were smart and realized that it's better to lose in the 1st/2nd/3rd round of the playoffs or miss the playoffs. You should never go to the finals and lose. KD is an idiot for getting to the finals and losing. He shouldn't have gone to the finals in the first place since it taints his record. CP3 is smart and doesn't make the finals so that his legacy stays un-tainted by finals losses. Very smart.

Players will come that are better eventually. But they won't be greater or have the kind of impact MJ had on basketball.

This argument is so stupid. Players shouldn't be criticized for going to the Finals and losing. At least they got there.

Kevin Love, due to never making the playoffs.

Did Bill Russell and those Celtics fall off the face of the earth?

Tim Duncan was well on his way to doing this and people have already forgotten it. Started at 3-3-3, then missed a FMVP to Parker, then came Ray Allen's 3. He could have easily been at 5-4-4.

Yes there will, no matter how much you don't want there to be. There is one thing that is certain in the world of sports, and it is that records are made to be broken. Durant is already about to break Jordan's record of consecutive 25 point games, and will probably surpass his 10 scoring titles as well. Won't be long until someone passes Jordan's 6/6 Finals record as well.

ISH where losing in the first is better than losing in the finals. :oldlol: :oldlol: :facepalm

Perfection? :facepalm

11 championships in 12 tries is what i call near perfection!

What 6/6 finals record?
Russell is 11/11 if you dont count the year he was injured.

lol, first round.

there will never be another back-to-back MVP still in his prime to get outscored by a bench player in a finals series.

Why did you assume that he was talking about Lebron?
He might have talked about the real GOAT Russell who was 11/11 in the finals and also never lost in the first round (unlike overrated Jordan).

Agreed. ISH where a player loses eight times in the first round, and is deified, while another player loses four times in the Finals, and is a considered among the greatest "chokers" of all-time.

Although I believe Jordan is the G.O.A.T, this argument is kind of lame. :D

This perfection stat applies to MJ because there were really no other years where it was feasible to make the finals. However, consider this. Had MJ played a bit more out of his mind versus the Pistons in 1990 and dragged the Bulls to the Finals, but then ultimately lost, he should be viewed in a higher light, even though he will lose that 'perfection' stat. It's why I never use 6 for 6 to argue for MJ's greatness. As with all things, we need context.
