View Full Version : We Could See Lebron vs Cavs In The Playoffs

If Miami gets the Number 1 seed, and Cleveland sneaks into the 8th seed (both of which are realistic possibilities), then we will see Lebron return to Cleveland in the first meaningful game since he left.

Would you guys be hyped to see that match up? And how do you think Cleveland fans would react? Keep it respectful in the futile hope that Lebron may return or crank up to boos to try to help their team win?

It's not out of the realm of possibility. The Cavs are 2.5 games out, but of their remaining seven games, six are against teams with records under .500.

They have far and away the easiest remaining schedule out of the teams vying for that final spot (Hawks, Knicks).

And, if they make it in and the Heat are the first round matchup, you can bet your @ss the crowd will be hyped. Believe it or not, the world doesn't revolve around James. It would be huge for a team this young to get that valuable experience.

Atlanta would basically have to lose out for this to happen. There's a better chance of Durant vs Seattle than LeBron vs Cleveland in the playoffs.

ESPN would hype the shit out of this match up.

Yeah of course they will cheer their team but will they target boos at Lebron? As they did during most of their previous meetings?

The Hawks very well may lose out. They're awful right now. If they go 2-7 in their final nine or worse, they're basically out. I see both the Cavs and Knicks finishing with 34 or more wins.

When you look at the Hawks schedule closing out, winning more than two games is going to be a serious struggle. Tonight's game against the Sixers is huge for them. If they lose that, they very well may lose out.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if the Hawks held on to that spot. I think it will either be the Knicks or the Cavs. The way they've played recently, the Cavs have a legitimate chance to win-out or at least get to 35-36 wins.

Yes. No reason not to. Although, those have calmed down in the last couple years.

I'd expect them to be a louder and more boisterous than the previous few meetings.

We have by far the easiest schedule of the three. Slim chances, but there's a chance at least.

Hawks are playing like a top 3 lottery team right now. 1-5 wins, might get help from Heat if they rest their players. Most likely 2 wins to be honest.

Knicks worse case 3-4 wins, best case 6 wins(win tonight, win all H games and steal one in TO).

Cavs 3-5 Wins.

What are do tiebreakers look like for them, incl 3-way tie?

All I know is that the Cavs lose to both on tie-breakers. It goes by conference record.

I really do not see the Cavs winning just 3 games of the remaining 7 against that schedule. They just went 4-3 playing one of the toughest stretches of the seasons and without Kyrie. Irving was just cleared to practice and will likely play against Orlando.

I'd be surprised if they didn't win 4-5 of these games.

The Hawks game will be make/break, if you win it, you're in it. Would be huge if we could go to Atlanta with 2 GB. Other than that, every team on our schedule is beatable. Nets will probably rest most of their players for their playoff run. New York has the toughest schedule and Atlanta lost six straight. While I don't want to get my expectations too high, but a 7-0 is definitely do-able.

This would be the craziest shit to ever happen.

And even more IImpossible..

Cleveland goes on to win the championship

I wouldn't mind to see my Knicks lose to see the first happening

Not gonna happen because of the games in the loss column.
If it were to happen, though, Lebron will completely humiliate Cleveland once again. Not sure if I wanna see that.

Cavs play some tanking teams that might need the extra loss while ATL and NY play teams jockeying for positions. Cle had a solid shot at 35 wins

Cavs need to go 6-1 to get in IMO. Go 5-2 and it starts to get iffy because the Knicks only need to go 4-4 to get to 35 wins.

My guess is the Cavs go 4-3 and miss out by a game or lose in a tie breaker.

I'm feeling they're going to finish 5-2, end up in a tie and lose out on the tie-breaker. It is probably going to be very close... maybe even coming down to the last game for all three teams.

I agree that 6-1 would probably do it and that's not out of the realm of possibility. There's a good chance the Nets will be in rest mode for that last game, which means we might be able to afford for that loss to come somewhere else, as long as it isn't against the Hawks obviously.

Varejao being out against Orlando isn't a great sign. We need all the help we can get.
