View Full Version : Spurs fans are the most spoiled in the NBA

Spurs fans believe 50 wins are their birthright. A 48 win season and they'd be panicking.

They've had it too damn good for too damn long. They won't know what it's like to cope with failure.

That's what happens when you pair a great coach with a great player and a great organization for 10+ years

Lakers and spurs have won 9 rings since 99'

Maybe Spurs fans born in the mid 90's :confusedshrug:

Spurs are not a franchise that has lacked struggle. From the failures of (coked up) Gervin's teams to David Robinson underachieving, disgruntled Rodman not working out, went through a handful of coaches in the 90's, and so on and so on. Hell my dad is a diehard Spurs fan (since before they were even the "Spurs") and he would tell you the years and years of losses make one appreciate the Duncan-era. Think of the 90's Spurs as being about as disappointing, even depressing at times, as the 00's Mavs.

OP is correct. When the spurs go through a couple 30-35 win seasons they won't know how to deal with it. Very spoiled fan base.

Don't get me wrong , id love to win 50 every year and have multiple titles but when their big 3 retire I'm not sure they will know what to do.

Lucky for the spurs there is nothing else to do in San Antonio so fans will have to keep going to games.

Can you explain how we think winning 50 games is our birthright?

This thread reeks of jealousy. So we win 50 every year, and the fans absolutely love the guys for that. How the **** does that make us spoiled?

they will win games as long pop is there

Lakers are way more spoiled than the Spurs.

Dominated the 60's (western conference), 80's and 2000's.

Their teams have had multiple top 10 players of all time playing AT THE SAME TIME (West & Wilt, Magic & Kareen, Shaq & Kobe)

Unfortunately we are now entering one the worst Laker era of history. Prepare yourselves folks cause it ain't gonna be pretty.

Yet they're not even half as douchey as Lakers fans.

We will see what happens when the spurs don't win 50 ever year.

Every Western Conference fan I have ever come across is a real big douche bag. Same with the Eastern Conference fans, for that matter.

Basketball fans are the worst.

Sports fans are even worse.

People are lame.

Huh?

You didn't explain how we are spoiled. You just, "We'll see what happens when you don't win 50."

Spurs fans are eternally grateful for everything Duncan and Pop has done for us. We know this can't last forever, and we've always cherished our guys. :confusedshrug:

How many Spurs fans are online on here or on the other forums ? In what way are they "spoiled" ? It certainly couldn't be example in the OP. Someone spoiled is someone who thinks they can keep acquiring talent regardless of how well their franchise is in the past, present, or future state.

Besides, Spurs fans I'm sure haven't taken this 17 year period for granted, nor the season before Duncan when they had George Gervin and David Robinson carrying those respective Spurs teams.

Probably draft the next Duncan (from Boston) and have an awesome coach. It just seems to be in their nature

People really need to visit spurs talk.

I can't wait to read that board after the big 3 leave and they win 30 games.

Just like the weather and Earth, teams go through cycles. Good to bad, bad to good. After Duncan and those guys leave it's not going to be good times for the Spurs. The lakers have had it good for many years, but years of dread await them. The Clippers were bad for many years and have a very promising future ahead of them. Cycles. Ice ages to lots of heat.
