Spo finally getting over his man crush on Shane Brickier! :applause:
I am so sick of that stupid "he does all the little things that don't show up in the box score" argument. :rolleyes: Battier is useless. He can't defend bigger players, he can't hit an open 3, nor can he score off the dribble. Only thing Battier is good for is taking a charge once every 3 or 4 games. Makes no sense that Spo has been using that brick machine all season while James Jones, one of the most lethal shooters in the league, has been rotting away on the bench. :no:

Battier was a big reason Miami has had so much success in the playoffs the last couple years. He was always hitting threes in big moments. Have some respect :facepalm

He had the same man crush on Mike Bibby. Played him many minutes in the playoffs. Spo truly is a terrible coach. The Big 3 can win with a monkey "coaching" them.
Also, Beasley's averaging like 12 off the bench for 5 straight games then DNPs him.

Say what you want you idiots who think Miami is stacked. This is a team that has started the likes of Shane Battier, Toney Douglas, Roger Mason Jr, Rashard Lewis, Udonis Haslem etc, who really have no business in the NBA anymore. Battier has been hurting the team when everytime he steps on the floor and only Spo was thinking otherwise. I am glad that he fell out of the rotation. Now the next step for Spo is playing Beasley ahead of Rashard Lewis.

Dude, players like Shane Battier fit a role on championship teams that the NBA really needs. Then need players that fit a role that don't really contribute anything, that are likeable to fans of the team, and they don't take anything away from the superstars. If Battier averages a few assists a few rebounds and a few points, they would be taken away from James, Bosh and Wade. A team only averages so many rbs, asts etc. The more that number is shared among players, the less the star players numbers total.
Shane Battier is a Derrick Fisher a Steve Kerr etc etc etc
They need to be there. Sure there could be better players there in his place, but then the other players wouldn't look as good. Thats why beasley isn't getting pt. Sure if the Heat face a team that is hurting them and the W is going to mean more than the stats, Beasley will get time. But until then, the individual stats are worth more.
Thats why Battier fits this position until the playoffs. Don't you realise that if Beasley was playing SG or SF (While Lebron as at PF) full time he would be taking away some of (The average) of team stats from Lebron. BUT if the playoffs start and they face a team that they need the help more than they need the stats? Beasley will get PT over Battier

Heat fans seem to have short memories of his impact. When he's hitting his threes, he can win one or two games in playoffs just on his shooting. Then you add his gritty defense(he pushes the boundaries and gets away with it) and good attitude, the Heat are lucky to have him, good glue guy.

I think he has been good as well, even defensively on occasion. There is no way Rashard Lewis should be playing ahead of him, but he's just been cut from the rotation for some reason, and rather suddenly. It seems Beasley can have 3-4 good games and then 1 bad and be sat out for a week, whereas Battier and Lewis can do nothing 3-4 games in a row and still get the same minutes. Beasley's leash has been incredibly short this season.
