This is a cumulative, non per 36 nor per 48 nor per cockring bullshit analysis. Win shares just sum up the contributions of each player throughout their careers.

Regular season:
kobe has 172.99 win shares in 18 seasons
lebron ONLY has 167.08 win shares in 11 seasons.

source:
http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/ws_active.html

Playoffs:
kobe has 28.26 win shares in 18 seasons.
lebron has 29.54 win shares in 11 seasons.
but 5 rings > contribution tbh, any kid at the park knows it.

So undisputed proof that kobe >>> lebron (3 carrets for each ring doe).

I believe the OP knows this and he is being sarcastic.

Win shares is cumulative and Lebron is already basically tied with Kobe even though he's only been in the league 11 years as opposed to 17.

Great analysis.
Tell me again, what is winshares, and why shouldn't we care about stats, because the context is way more important

in short, a formula that rewards organized, efficient basketball, per possession, relative to your team.
Apparently going 6-24 while leading the team in turnovers and in fouls isn't something that socres really high.:oldlol:

Does great lockdown defense in the same game count positively into the winshares? Yeah, thought so.
And why did you forget to mention 11 fts made, 10+ points in the 4th Q, 15 rebounds for a frickin SG?

Because he stole most of those rebounds from Gasol, and the free throws were gifted to him by the officials from soft touch fouls that Kobe is no stranger to.

This is why almost every Kobe fan on this board is capped at an $8/hr hourly wage in real life, they can't even come up with anything true.

why certainly lad, win shares is composed from offensive win shares and defensive win shares. Defensive win shares keep track of who is scoring how much and how effectively, even compared to his averages, and team average defense, etc. They basically say what is your defensive impact on your team.

For example the best defensive season from any active non-big player is lebron's(6.51) and he is only behind pippen's best season(6.77) in the modern era... seems he is a decent defender... unfortunately I'm too lazy to talk about kobe's best defensive season since he is not on any of the lists found here: http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/dws_season.html .. but we all know what a great defender he was so stats really don't matter :applause: god bless america son

i looked at the defensive win shares best 250 seasons and I understood why I couldn't find kobe there because other great defenders besides lebron reside there: paul george, paul pierce, loul deng.

Even this year's deandre jordan is more important on defense than kobe ever was:lol

LeBron stan detected

:wtf: Well it's no secret that I'm a LeBron fan; probably 75% of my posts are directed against his haters, defending him using level-headed reason. But I think a "stan" is like a biased troll who defends one player no matter what, and I also criticize LeBron all the time when he deserves it (definitely choked in 2011 Finals, played like dogshit against Boston in '08, been lazy on defense this year, etc.) so I respectfully disagree with you.

And my post honestly had nothing to do with that. I just honestly find it weird and gimmicky how that guy always bolds shit.

Oh and by the way, 2002 doesn't count. Ref scandal was real, Kings without a doubt would have eliminated LA in 6 games. Kobe: 4 and it's not debatable. Bitch.

Did those players ever lead a playoff series in scoring? Win a scoring title? Win a finals mvp? League MVP? Make an all-nba first team?

If 2002 doesn't count then 2012 doesn't count because of a lockout and Stern vetoing the CP3 trade, or 2012 and 2013 rings both dont count because of teaming up.

If rings only count when you've won a FMVP or a rsMVP, then neither of Kobe's '00 or '01 rings count either.

And a vetoed trade to a team that was already irrelevant, as well as a lockout season have nowhere near the level of impact that literally RIGGING a playoff series has. In the lockout year, Miami still had to win four playoff rounds. They beat a full-strength Indiana and Boston while missing Bosh, and then wiped the floor with a full-strength OKC who had just disposed of San Antonio. LBJ's rings are legit and you know it. Nice try though.
