With all this focus on how Easy the path to the Finals has been for the Heat, let's have a look at the paths of the last 2 Western Conference Champs. First OKC in 2012
1st round - Dallas team missing half of it's roster from the previous year.
2nd round - Old and washed up Lakers, with Kobe singlehandedly GIVING the Thunder games 2 and 4! Not impressed.
3rd round - Spurs team that had peaked way too early, and all the shooters went cold at the same time. Very convenient time to play them.

In conclusion, nothing impressive at all about this Finals run. Now lets look at the Spurs run last year.
1st round - Decimated Laker squad who only made the playoffs due to shady officiating. :lol
2nd round - Young Golden State team with ZERO playoff experience.
3rd round - Overrated Memphis team with no go to scorers.
When you really think about it, the Western playoffs have been boring as hell these last few years. :sleeping

Memphis and Golden State would both have beat Miami in a 7 game series last year

they path for the last two WC teams has been ridicolously easy, especially last years Spurs.
Grizzlies in the WCF=
East has been a tough all out battle each year
this year both conferences will be hard

2012:
Before the finals, Heat played 18 games . ( including a tough 7 games series with Celtics)
OKC played 15 games.

2013:
Heat played 16 games ( including a tough 7 games series with Pacers)
Spurs played 14 games ( 2 sweeps).

Spurs and OKC both had easier roads.
#FACT!

Haha or both the Thunder and Spurs were clearly better teams who needed less games to beat better squads en route to the finals.

Everyone knows that the WCF path has been overrated the last few years. Memphis is the only team in the west that could give Miami trouble besides the spurs, and that's more because of matchups than actual talent.

They were better teams but think about it this way...

Who would run a faster 40 yard dash..

An elite athlete who just finished running a 100 mile marathon or a slighly inferior athlete who just warmed up?

Exactly, the slightly inferior athlete is fresh and that more than makes up for the lower talent level.

Miami rested all their key players en route to the Finals the past 2 years b/c they faced garbage teams who wouldn't make the playoffs in the West.

Spurs/Thunder had to give it their all every game in the playoffs.

Think mcfly, think

:facepalm It's hard to rest players when you are getting pushed to 7 games multiple times. Are you really this stupid or are you just trolling? :biggums:

Rested players? Can you name them and when exactly they rested them? Are you saying that they rested players in the 7 games series against Celtics and Pacers?

Heat was more fresh than the Spurs last year? How? Heat went to 7 games in the ECF and Spurs swept the Grizzlies in the WCF ( had blowout games too).

Heas more fresh than OKC? Heat went to 7 games vs Celtics and Lebron had to have an all-time great performance in game 6 to keep his team alive. OKC went to 6 games vs Spurs.

This. If anything facing the Grizzlies is easier because they don't have anyone like Paul George, who can at least occasionally play like a superstar.
