Kobe led his team to a seventh seed and first round exit as the man.

It was like living his prime all over again.

I thought he was near done after the 2011 playoffs. That was pretty crazy to see him play like that, even though the team was disappointing

So you are saying he was a horrible defensive player in his prime then?

Brooklyn's own, Bernard King (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wizards-insider/wp/2013/09/09/bernard-king-calls-comeback-with-washington-bullets-my-basketball-legacy/)[QUOTE]King had the best season of his career in 1984-85, when he led the NBA in scoring at 32.9 points and scored 60 points against the New Jersey Nets on Christmas day. But his season came to an end in Kansas City in March, when he tore his ACL and some cartilage and even broke a bone in his right knee. He missed two full years of action but came to play for the Knicks, who let him go as a free agent. He joined the Bullets and was voted to his fourth all-star game in 1991, his last full season in the NBA.

King refused to convince himself that he would have to change his game after his injury and would watch film of his Knicks games before stepping on the floor so that he would duplicate the movements. Though he lacked the explosiveness, King remained efficient in his time with the Bullets. In the 1990-91 season, King had a 52-point game eight days after his 34th birthday and torched the Knicks for 49 points in a game at Madison Square Garden, turning the home crowd to his side.

Baylor in 68-69, when he put up a 25 ppg .486 season. Of course, when it really mattered, and in the playoffs... 15.3 ppg on a .385 FG% (and a horrible Finals.)

Duncan looked done in 06

Plantar fasciitis might do that to you.

And here's what he put up in the WCSF:

32.3 PPG / 11.7 RPG / 3.7 APG / 1.0 SPG / 2.6 BPG / .556 FG%

Anyway, Duncan last season.

People were saying Wade was done in 07-08, then he went to the Olympics and was the best player there. Even then people doubted saying it was against weak competition, and yet he came back and had the best statistical year of his career, and in the league that year.

Garnett looked done by 2011 with all the nagging injuries. He had a bounce back campaign of sorts in 2012, not prime play and numbers but definitely the best season he had since the championship in 2008.

I know it's a small sample size, but MJ, when he came back, didn't really look like his old self & I remember thinking back in the day that he was done as far as prime goes. He followed it up with a strong 95-96 season, shooting near 50% from the field & 43% on threes & also had his 2nd most efficient season, when looking at WS & WS/48.

Jamal Crawford? Looked like he was done when he was on the Hawks, and now you can argue he's playing his best ball at what? 35 years old?

Im pretty sure he was a 6MoY with the Hawks, or at least runner up. I think youre thinking of the Blazers maybe? Didnt he play there in between Hawks and Clippers?
