Thats exactly why Hornacek deserves it more. He is taking a team of brand new players that were projected to be the worst team in the nba after the gortat trade into the conference in one of the most stacked western conferences in history. And he did it in one offseason.

How many years has Pop had the same core in San Antonio? He has been coaching that damn team for so many years all his systems are in place and he just needs to plug in a different piece if something goes wrong.

Hornacek took a bunch of ****ed up leggo pieces and turned it into a piece of art in 3 months.

and Pop is the best coach in the nba.. problem is he has been the best coach in the nba for like 10 years you don't get coach of the year by doing something that your been doing forever this isn't coach of the decade.
