I always thought Omer Asik was one who made "verticality" fashionable for big men. He's been doing it since coming in the league and then I noticed other big men picked it up from there.

Really? I'm not doubting you but it seems like the guy has a 6" vert :lol

Asik's vert is why it's so easy for him to get it, he can't jump high enough to drift more than an inch any direction.

Hibbert has no disciples and calling it Str8 Ups...come on Roy. Don't make it so easy to dislike you

He can't really jump high but Asik is 7'2 and has long arms. He's great at getting into position and keeping his hands straight up. He's been doing it since he came in the league as a rookie.

Ah, I get where you're coming from. He is indeed great at that. Dude is a ****ing wall. I legit think people are as scared to attack the rim with him there as Dwight or Ibaka. Never seen Asik get dunked on if he was expecting it, he knows position for sure.

:lol You know he's talking about as far as "going up", not overall, and not about rebounding....I thought he just meant he's going to show them the proper way to do "verticality"......

Hibbert is my n*gga though..He never takes anything too seriously and he's funny...

FYI this is one of the things Silver and LeBron talked about during their meeting. Glad to see Silver listened and took some action. Roy Hibbert is a bitch.

Damn I take it back, he got destroyed there
But yeah, good defender. He's very mobile, if he was a bit more athletic and a better shotblocker... damn.

This is the make or break season for Hibbert. Either his career goes up or down

Doesn't matter, he'd still be a bad rebound anyway.....I just want him to take the defense seriously, thats all I care about....

I don't see why anybody got up in arms over this tweet in the first place..It was just a silly tweet and somewhat the truth. If I were him, I'd probably feel the same way because when I watch him play, he usually does a good job of going straight up, or close to it....Its defenders jumping into him CONSTANTLY, thinking they can dunk on him or whatever or just trying to prove that they can score over him..Its not his fault they put knees and shit all in his chest, which will naturally cause any person to bring your outstretched arms down if you get hit in the midsection.......I'd imagine the taller you are, that statement is even more true......

He still got plenty of fouls called on him throughout the season...

He'll probably get more attention and regress from last season.

I'm on my pc and it works, first it just asks me which video player I want to use to open it. It's a wmv file.
