It's not 1 travel, it was 2 travels.

But then again, they don't call those. Breakaway dunks you're allowed to take 7 steps if I remember Josh Smith on a breakaway dunk.

Even after the gather there are 3 more steps. That's being EXTREMELY conservative.

Then it's a double dribble :oldlol:

I thought it was 4 steps at first. All I'm saying if if I did that in a pickup game it'd be called.

I'm OK with the way Harden takes his steps, but LeBron gets some ridiculous benefit of the doubt.

It's a travel because Lebron has bad mechanics on a lot of his dribble drives. At times he has no gather step because he picks the ball up way too fast with both hands (maybe to protect it) and then has to take at least 3-4 steps to get his balance and go up. The hilarious part is he had a similar travel against the same damn team earlier this year :oldlol:

LOL ya mayne...I'm just a leBRONZE hater thats all so when ever leBRONZE does some shit like this I gotta post it lol plus I cant respect someone who says that they will stay with the CAVS until he brings a championship to their city...but then leaves and joins WADES team..yall can say what you want but thats just my opinion look at this video when he says he doesnt FLOP

LeBRONZE says he doesn't FLOP (http://i.minus.com/ibx7GbmJ7gXq97.gif)

with kobe...look at this:

I'll admit kobe did get rocked by CHRIS CHILDS but at least he didnt FLOP down after the punch

Westbrook? Sure, he carries about as much as the average player I suppose.

Point is it's bullshit they never make shit like LeBrons off arm and traveling a point of emphasis, only shit that wouldn't even give defense the slightest bit of a buff in todays league.

They need to nerf the hell out of offense tbh.

And people say the 60s and 70s were the weak era where they enforced the rules of the game like travelling, palming and throwing yourself into defenders. Now it's become a joke with the no calls and the flopping. In 20 years, will they even bother dribbling? It will be like field hockey on the court.

GATHER or TWO-COUNT RHYTHM for Dummies:

http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/9963/traveling-violation-nba-on-rule-change

"A dribbler may take two steps after gathering the ball to end a dribble."

In that play Lebron gathers the ball as his foot is down, not before.... hence he has two more steps...

.....still took three steps. Not like it matters tho. One, refs will never call that. Two, happens all the time, it's the NBA. But technically, he traveled.

It is one of the reasons why he can get so much air and momentum when going to the basket. Same with Wade.

It is like those dudes in dunk contests that don't dribble the ball cause it makes them jump higher due to better speed.

theaussieguy
04-03-2014, 07:16 AM
i like how people are talking about this as if its open to interpretation, i swear some of u are the dumbest kunts

clearly took 3 steps after he regathered the ball, not more not less.
****ing idiots

and to people complaining about how calls like this are never made anymore. What would u prefer, the 60's style of ball with the dorky straight up dribble that looks goofy as ****, or the flashy dribbling we see today which are almost always carrys?

You can't have it both ways but thats why I don't give much respect or heed to the NBA as a sport, its an entertainment league more than it is a sport. This is blatantly obvious with bad calls all the time, why does it even need to be debated? We all know why refs make bad calls or make no calls. Its for the good of 'entertainment' which is fine, just don't act like its some unheard of thing, it happens every game. Your beloved NBA is actually somewhat of a joke, doesn't make it any less enjoyable for me personally. Get over it and stop making these stupid threads
