We went to a fancy NYC restaurant got one of their three outdoors tables and by the end of our meal, the very famous celebrity chef/owner was very drunk and sitting at the next table with his publicist. Ended up talking with him as he slagged off other restaurants and said his chef knew more about cooking pasta in his left testicle than the entire city of LA.

This was later, after the proposal, I took the ring out when desert came and, I had forgotten this bit until just now, her reaction was she punched me in the arm in disbelief (Proposal or GTFO!)
Then we ordered a bottle a prosecco and stayed for a bit. The chef turned up as we were drinking it. We took a long walk afterwards and rat ran in front of us. I took that was a sign of good luck.
