View Full Version : Why is the media creating these fake ''records''?

What s up with this 40 streak games 25+ pts record? Humm.... Wilt scored 50 ppg for the whole season.

Another fake and impressive record is Jordan going 6 for 6 in the finals. Humm....Russell went 11 for 11 if you dont count the year he got injured.

50 ppg for a whole season does not mean 82 straight 50 point games.

and MJ would be 6 for 6 in the finals if u count the years he didn't get to the finals. So that means he only played 6 years and won 6 chips.

Any more retarded criterias?
We can do this all day.

Can you prove that Wilt scored 50 ppg?

Nope. That's why, we know 100% what MJ did.

The media always has an agenda. More money is made off of Jordan and guys like Bron and Durant so they'll do whatever they can to overhype their accomplishments although they are impressive. Media don't care about Wilt, Russell, Big O, Baylor or Kareem like that

Yeah, people counted the points on paper and those papers are available.

Here's a better question:

Why didn't you make this thread when ESPN was creating odd criteria to authenticate a LeBron streak or record the last two seasons?

Seriously, I'm curious to know. Because from an objective observer, you and the LeBron stanhood are whining like petulant toddlers now that LeBron isn't the toast of the town.

The Wilt Myth is rather amusing. From the footage I've seen, he looked like a poor man's Javale Mcgee

It's just the media's way of brainwashing the sheep, also known as casual NBA fans, into thinking Durant is already one of the best players ever.

It's not a record. 40 is the 3rd longest streak. Still very impressive.

Oh, and these fake records started with Lebron.

Interesting...

Russell injured his ankle in game three of that series (and with the series tied 1-1.) Boston did go on to lose that game, 111-108, but they actually outscored the Hawks without Russell.

Then, without Russell in game four, they easily beat the Hawks, 109-98.

They were without Russell again in game five... a 102-100 loss.

And Russell returned for game six, but only played in the first half. Boston again outscored the Hawks without Russell, but they lost that deciding game by a 110-109 margin.

It starts and ends with ESPN and their arbitrary stats (e.g. Lebron only 1 of 3 players to score over 44 with 13 reb, blah blah).

That being said, I don't see how anyone can discredit Durant's streak because it matches an actual record, and speaks to a player's scoring prowess for a long period of time.

Finally, OP is a *******.
