View Full Version : No discussion about the Knicks blowing any shot at the playoffs?

Tonight was the Knicks last shot. They blew it. This was a MUST-win game for the Knicks.

Carmelo doesn't deserve blame for the team's woes, but he had possibly the worst game of his career tonight and the Knicks paid dearly for it. They have too few games and too rough a schedule to beat the Hawks out for the last spot.

Too little too late. Second time that the Hawks will get Mike Woodson fired.

Phil Jackson coming to the Knicks is news.
Carmelo Anthony making statements about his future with the team is news.
The Knicks playing well and looking poised for a deep run in the playoffs is news.

The Knicks sucking ass is not news.

Would have preferred to see the Knicks or Cavs take the 8th spot, but they only have themselves to blame for playing so shit all year..
The Hawks even went on a huge losing streak and neither team could still capitalize :facepalm :facepalm ..

Magic has HIV, not AIDS.

and hasn't Amare suffered enough? him being on the knicks is a fate worse than aids if you ask me.

Just saw the remaining games for the Knicks.

@ Miami
@ Toronto
vs Chicago
@ Brooklyn
vs Toronto

Damn, facing the top 5 teams in the East. The only games I can see them winning is Chicago and Brooklyn. They would have to hope the Hawks lose pretty much all their games.

Funny how none of the geniuses here have noticed Carmelo's re-injured shoulder. Dude's shot - he had NO shot last night. They gotta shut this shit down already, and move on to next year.

Why don't you Knick haters get back on Durant's nut already? :facepalm

They USED to be Sky-High
nowadays winning 1 game against the Heat in Playoffs gets a celebration with confetti and 2nd round is praised,
Hell winning 50 games would be sky high Now.

From Ewing and going 8th seed to Finals and almost winning
to barely having a chance in po and being fodder in po there.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Knicks, and I like Melo, but they need to miss the playoffs this year. That way theres NO chance that Woodson/CAA remain in the picture.

A month back I was hoping they would lose enough that the pick they didn't have would be the #1 draft pick... why? Just so it could be one of the most embarrassing moments in team history. Just so everyone would get shit on and they had no choice but to blow it up.

And then Phil Jackson came... I didn't want the guy to start off like that. Now I'm just like... whatever, offseason couldn't come soon enough. This team will be better next year, because by default they are not this bad.

just stop, the heat are in a dogfight for 1st place. If the Knicks win tomorrow then they played better, not because Lebron is "coasting".

Replace Knicks with Melo in your thread title, OP.

Even JR plays better ball than Melo, and his shot selection is the worst I've ever seen by any player.

of course he's injured, because he's never had bad games when healthy

his shoulder stopped him from making the right decisions on the court.

4-17 from the field :facepalm

he's hurt the Knicks in 2 consecutive games on both ends of the court. Maybe he should sit out and allow JR to lead the Knicks to the POs while he's hot?

He played good d in this game and had 6 dimes, moved the ball really well. His shot was just off cuz of his shoulder.

And then JR would get the same attention that Melo gets defensively and not be able to score anything.

good D? did you miss Lebron going off on him & him missing multiple rotations, which gave Miami wide open 3s when the Knicks tried coming back. Did you miss him making stupid momentum-killing plays that ended with points for Miami on the other end?

It wasn't just his shot, it was his shot selection. He took horrible shots when he had defenders swarmed all over him. He started out 3-10 in the first half and ended the game shooting 1-7

He wasn't guarding lebron most of the game, he made good plays offensively. The only mental mistake he made really was at the end of the 3rd quarter. If Melo was healthy Heat woulda got blown out in this game. Simple as that.
