His confidence is shot into million pieces which to me is really sad turn of events because I was really hoping he would grab his chance as a starter, but he has been disappointing. BTW, name calling is uncalled for. Jenny lynn?:facepalm

He's been struggling with back and ankle issues this season (mostly back).
He's actually having back issues right now and has been for several games. It's definitely showing in that his shot is short and he's missing a lot of layups that he normally makes. He's also not as "explosive".
Trying to play with a bad back in basketball is just...wow. I honestly don't know how these guys do it. Makes EVERYTHING harder to do. You don't even want to bend over to the pick the ball up off the floor.

I bet jenny Lynn is psyched Sampson is taking the university of Houston job. Sampson and McHale totally have it in for Lynn.

Sounds like... he should be resting and you guys shouldn't have traded Aaron Brooks. I dunno about this Canaan guy, Brooks was better.
Also, OP Lin got the W bruh why you talkin sh1t?

will average 20/8 as soon as the Rockets get a real coach after MCFail is fired in the offseason or as soon as he gets on a normal team without that bearded piece of scum.
that being said he has to stay healthy for one freaking season.

Dude missed an uncontested 2 on 1 fastbreak layup. Didnt pass. Didnt try to make a move. Just shot a normal, YMCA lay up and bricked it... which led to Serge slamming it about 3 seconds later.
If your back hurts, get rid of the ball. Facilitate. Blown fast breaks lead to points for the other team nearly every time.

I doubt any coach would make him the focal point of the team for him to average 20

Lettuce be cereal, before last week Felton was largely considered the worst starting point guard in the league, and pre-dominantly by Knicks fans :lol

Yeah so? I know Felton is terrible. I am not happy with him being the starting PG. Am I supposed to defend him? I'd rather have you as the point guard than Felton. Can you stay in front of a speedy guard?

I saw that play. Laying it up was the right play as the defender sagged.
He blew it plain and simple. Does he make that with a healthy back? Who knows but we've all seen him make crazy layups in traffic and driving to the hole is his strength so I would give him the benefit of the doubt.
Lamb blew a layup earlier in the game. Shit happens.

It's come back in the last few games according to reports coming from the teams trainers.
Now with Beverley out he has to play even more minutes.
I just hope he can rest for a few games before playoffs.
I would like to see a completely healthy Lin in the playoffs for a change. It's gotta suck to bust ass all season long only to not be able to perform when it counts.

He dropped 38 points on the Lakers in 2012 and hit a game winner against Toronto that same year.
He's the best player ever.

I am not buying this whole Lin is playing hurt bs. Most players get bruised up and play through it but he just soft.
Just like I said in this thread, Lin fans always have an excuse for his play. (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=328397&page=21)

I'd argue that George Hill is a worse starting point guard than Raymond Felton. Jeremy Lin is a good NBA player. Maybe not worth his salary but still a good player. Not sure why he receives so much hate.

Hey, I know how that sounds. "Chest bruise".
But think about it. You honestly think Lin sat out when he could have played? I mean these guys LOVE the game. And after all Lin went through to get to the NBA? No way. I honestly believe he was hurting bad and was probably pulling his hair out at night because he was hurt.
I mean, it was reported that Lin couldn't even raise his arm over his shoulder, it was that bad.
I know muscle bruises sound "weak" compared to shit breaking or tearing, but you ever try to play after getting a charlie horse to the thigh or hurting your upper back/trap? I used to get whiplash when playing and I wasn't able to look up without pain. I could run around no problem but whenever a shot went up, forget it...just even trying to track the ball with my head was killing me.

He's a polarizing player and he "sticks out" because he's asian. It's good and bad. Good in that he's MUCH MORE popular than other guys with equal ability, bad in that he's gonna have more haters.
