Believe in the Shield
I don't watch wrestling anymore like I use to but I show up for Wrestlemania every year. I watched the Shield on the build up and I think they should get a bigger match.
Kane and the Outlaws is disrespect towards the Shield. I see them winning though.

I'm over the streak and want it to end.
I seldom watch wrestling as it is and this Taker streak guarantees him a match every year which is unfair to others. Just lose it and retire already.
I am so sick of his 5 minute entrances too.

Well the shield already got destroyed by the Wyatts so I don't know what else they could have done with the Shield besides splitting them up and having them fight in a triple threat against eachother.
I keep hearing about Roman Reigns' name. Is he that good? Last time I watched him was a PPV but hardly on television.
What is the story with him?

I know it is good for business to break them up and have them go solo but I like the Shield.

Randy Orton has been the most boring champion in recent memory. And the fact that they're billing him as accomplishing some historic feat is ridiculous (Is Chris Jericho getting the Chris Benoit treatment now? Where is he these days anyway? Save us Y2J)

I'm just trying to understand the creative's decision. Is Taker just tired of coming back and wanted this to be over? Even then why not just finish out with an undefeated streak? It didn't have to end. And why Brock Lesnar? A guy who left for 9 years and occasionally shows up? If anyone was going to end the streak it should have been Cena. It's just weird.

I miss that match, but was Taker that bad in the ring?
All I know is that Taker seems to use all of what he had left in the tank on Taker vs Michaels series already according to matches against Triple H and CM Punk.
He was on his back the whole match it seemed, dude was huffin and puffin like crazy.
That last F5 fvcked him up bad doe.

Could be the result of not having regular year-long wrestling schedule, losing stamina.
Most top old guys who keep on wrestling and have no major injuries can hang in there for long matches regardless of age i.e. Ric Flair, Terry Funk, Tenryu Genichirou etc. Undertaker must have some kind of injuries that make it impossible to endure pro wrestling schedule even for some months. He used to wrestle a month or two entering WrestleMania but hasn't done that in the last two years I believe.
Look at Batista for example. Sure he left, but he was training for MMA, trimming his body fat or whatever, and he gets gassed after 5 minutes. It's only ever realistic to go for a full match and perform at a high level if one of the two wrestlers is full of energy and can go on for hours.
Taker needed a flashier, quicker wrestler for his match. Brock wasn't the one for him.
Ehh let's see where this shit goes. Still confused and have so many questions.

Fans are mad because Brock is part-time? OK but that doesn't make him less of a challenger.
Like the Rock, Lesnar is the only other WWE superstar to make a name for himself outside the WWE. He did that with UFC, he basically put UFC on the mainstream map. For that reason, Brock was the biggest name the Undertaker faced during the Streak.
Good choice to end the streak with Brock.
Yes but wrestling purists probably prefer someone dedicated to the business a bit more. Having "a name outside of wrestling" doesn't say much for your average wrestling fan. Seems like an odd choice considering there are some talents along the years within wwe that put in serious work.

Yeh this guy doing all the super man punches was pretty charismatic and exciting, he can be a main eventer one day I think, assuming he has charisma on the mic.
I wanted stone cold or rock to come in and save bryan from triple H at the end, disappointed none of them did any fighting. That would have been RIDICULOUS.

Ok here's what I am still iffy about in terms of the fixed ness of wrestling.
Now I know the whole HHH/Steph vs Bryan thing is fixed and they are all playing characters.
But at the same time WWE does always push ortons and batistas ahead of the talented wrestling Daniel Bryan types because the Batistas and Ortons are more marketable in terms of crossover appeal.
Do HHH/Steph and Daniel Bryan and all of them all get along backstage, or do you think those guys do have political sway and HHH for example is pushing his guys Orton and Batista bot just as part of his character but in real life too?
Like do all these wrestlers get along in real life or is it all political competition backstage to get in Vince McMahons good books?
The Miz for example, wtf happened with that guy, they were desperately pushing him to be a super star a few years ago, now he is a jobber losing midmatch in a battle royale. What happened there? Did he piss people off behind the scenes?
That's the part I still dont understand.
Like a guy like Kofi Kingston, does all these crazy moves, gets the crowd going, why doesnt WWE ever push those exciting wrestlers and always push the boring John Cena and Randy Orton types?

it's not that brock is part time. it's just that there was no real build up in the feud between him and taker. brock wasn't even made to look like a legit challenge. in 2 out of the 3 skirmishes they had leading up to the match, brock either got his ass kicked or acted scared of undertaker. i mean, it's hard to build a feud between 1 guy who's part time and another who only wrestles once a year, but at least do something more with it, like punk and taker last year.
that said, i'm not mad bork won. hopefully this squashes all of the sting vs. taker rumors/hopes for next year.

I havent watched wrestling for like 10 years but I thought the standards of the divas wrestling wise seemed pretty high to what they were when I used to watch. Shame they quit doing the bra and panties matches.

I think Kaiteng is wrong, they certainly do not get along. WWE is a cutthroat business, where a failing star can get fired in an instant. Theres always fighting for the top spots, and guys like Triple H definitely have their favourites. In fact, Triple H is the one who trained Sheamus, thats the reason Sheamus got the title so quickly after his debut. There have also been many stories of backstage animosity between certain workers. There is definitely some shady politics in WWE.
The thing that WWE do though is they play off these real life storylines that the hardcore fans know about, and work it into the scripted storylines to spice things up.And example is when The Rock and John Cena had real life beef back in 2005/6 so when the Rock returned they played off that to some extent, using the "real life" beef as a catalyst for their "show" beef if you get what I mean.

Other than Total Divas, those won't be given much air time to do anything better anyway. I don't see the point of breaking up Funkadactyls.
mainly because i hate cameron lol. but you're right. none of the divas will be getting more airtime other than aj. she's the most over diva since lita and trish. hopefully they put her an actual storyline. maybe she'll start feuding with tamina.
off topic: i don't know how tamina is allowed to be employed by wwe when david benoit isn't.

I thought WM was amazing, an unforgettable main event moment with Bryan going over against incredible odds to win the gold and end with 75,000 people chanting "YES".
Bryan the peoples champion going over reminded me of WM 14 as this could be the WM that cemented Bryan as a mega star in professional wrestling
Cesaro with a great show of strength, looks like he'll be getting a well deserved push
Cena v Wyatt was great, crowd was really into Wyatt, they did a wonderful job at telling a story, Bray Wyatt is the real deal..
Possibly the most shocking moment in WWE history when Brock beat the streak, now with Taker losing, Brock Lesnar will be the new Wrestlemania phenom.
Taker is a true pro, by ending the streak they will get more out of it than they would have with Taker never ending the streak.
Hoping for Sting to intterupt a Taker retirment speech tonight to challenge him for their final match at next years Mania.
Top 5 WM all time IMO..
With former UFC champion Brock Lesnar ending the Undertaker's streak..the REALITY ERA is officially here

did anyone else enjoy triple h's shao kahn entrance as much as i did? i've never been a big hhh fan, but i've thoroughly enjoyed him in the weeks leading up to wm and at mania itself.
Went to my buddies place to watch WM. I died a little inside when CM Punk was strongly rumoured to show up in Chicago, and then didn't, and I haven't watched the past couple Raws, but I didn't want to miss Bryan's big night.
I dozed off during Taker vs Brock and missed the streak getting broken :lol I didn't really like what I saw of the match that much, but I'm happy for Brock. I always said that if Taker retired without taking an L at Mania, I was going to lose a huge amount of respect for him. He did the right thing for business.
The main reason I wanted to watch Mania was for D-Bry's two matches, and I enjoyed them both very much. The title win was an awesome moment.

They have to get along. They are professional. They get along professionally. Especially those lower-tier guys some surely want to stick around because of better pays, much better than anywhere else. Backstage politics exists, yes, but what they do that affect sales still matters more. That's why Cena, Bryan, and soon Cesaro are getting pushed despite Triple H having his pals Batista, Randy Orton and Sheamus available for those spots.
Oh yeah, money is definitely numero uno. I just meant that while it is acted, there is serious competition for places backstage and guys dont always play fair.

That's how I felt. Not that I think the streak should have never been broken (though I would have been ok with it not), but giving it to Brock didn't seem right to me. If you break the streak, you can take that achievement to further WWE's product with a guy who will be there at least once a week...or atleast be at all the PPV's.
But maybe this is what Undertaker wanted. Maybe he wants the streak broken like this... in a somewhat meaningless fashion because he didn't want it to be what defined him. Cause lets face it, that's what it was coming down to. He's done amazing things over the years, but all anyone talked about was the streak.

disagree completely,
i'd rather watch 2 characters who i'm actually invested put on a show, than 2 generic ROH wrestlers have a match with no back story that will most likely be a spot fest with no emotion or ring psychology.
Stone Cold became a megastar during a time when all his matches consisted of kicks punches and stunners.. The characters sell the story.
I'd rather watch Sting v Taker at WM than watch an AJ Styles spot fest from 04

both guys are way over the hill. would i mark out if taker beat bork and sting was in the rafters pointing at him with a bat? sure. but that match would be awful and really serve no purpose. it was undertaker's decision to put brock over and it was a good one.

Putting Brock over before letting him back to the wild in one thing. Having the Streak ending as the landmark WM moment that people will remember for a long time is another.
Sting would do okay with WWE as a regular performer though seeing how good he was with TNA.
Yeah people are really underestimating Sting. He just had a hardcore match with Bully Ray a few months back where he was taking some really good bumps
give him a year to train for one match?.. he'll be fine. Plus this way Taker can face Sting w/o the streak being on the line (Taker v Sting doesn't need the streak to sell ppvs)

And I'm fine with it if he's actually performing and showing up on a regular basis...but if Lesnar starts doing exactly what Taker was doing (showing up once a year to beat someone), then I feel they missed an opportunity to get someone extreme heat or launch a career in to stardom. Having someone duplicate what the Taker just did for 10 years isn't my idea of something that really helps the WWE product. In fact I think it hurts it with predictability.

Pretty sure WWE intended for CM Punk to beat the streak but he left before the event and WWE had to fill someone in as a replacement.
