View Full Version : Melo Approaching 20,000 Career Points

Melo at 19911 career points

89 to go with 4 games remaining

4 days off till our next game so he can rest his injured shoulder

Will need to average 22+ over the final 4

Someone tweet him and make him aware that hes approaching 20k, maybe it will motivate him to play through the pain

I see him finishing his career with 29 to 30,000 career points assuming he duplicates this years production next year and steadily declines a la Paul Pierce

Both dominant but better would be Melo because his offensive arsenal never had a glaring weakness. Wades jump shot was suspect for several years. Also the longevity factor will be on Melos side considering he has never been an explosive player whose game relies on athleticism

Damn, will Melo at the end of his career just be on scoring lists and no Conference titles or Rings?

We shall see...Missing playoffs for first time must hurt pretty bad though.

If he stays maybe he'll be motivated and explode for one of his best seasons (Winning/Success Wise) next season with Phil.

If he can't do it with Phil, then maybe it's just not meant to be...

If youre making a reference to Bran....he had teams of D-Leaguers and himself for the most part, he had to score more.

Same goes for Wade who had nothing aside from Shaq for 3 seasons, so once again he had to carry more of a scoring load.

On top of that just because Player A scores a marginal amount of points more than Player B does that necessarily make one a better scorer than the other?

No...

Reggie Miller has scored more career points than Allen Iverson; does that make Reggie, a guy who could barely dribble a better scorer than Iverson?

Nope. Nice try though simpleton

So in other words young fella youd take Klay Thompson over Russell Westbrook? Because thats the closest modern day equivalent that I can provide to someone like yourself whose never watched Iverson play

Durability is an athletic trait. How your body manages itself against injuries is credited to how fast you recover and how you maintain it.

Nothing against Melo, though. It's still an impressive milestone regardless. Not everyone has the durability of a LeBron James.

if what you are saying is true then melo would have a higher career PPG.

Lebron: 27.5PPG on 49.6%
melo: 25.3PPG on 45.5%
Go to sleep wilds

Because he Missed alot of games Earlier n his career

and if u notice

LB PPG Is declining

Melos Increasing

Because n the recent years MELO Has finally stayed healthy more

Melo has avgd more in the last 3 years

Melo>Lebron as a scorer and rebr

gotta love how ISH thinks Melo sucks yet Chris "what's a conference finals" Paul is on some sacred pedestal among current players
