Not saying Melo is a scrub by the way. Clearly top ten, maybe top five.

I don't think so. Melo was never as athletic as KD. His shot selection at times is pretty similar to KD's, but he doesn't have the size that KD does, so it's a bit harder for him to get that many good shots.

Melo can pretty much do everything as a scorer, but KD is just better at drawing fouls & finishing inside + KD can actually make plays, which gives him a lot more opportunities to score, as opposing players know that KD can pass really well.

If Melo worked on his passing game, I think he could have been a much better player than he currently is.

Carmelo would have better stats with KD calls

KD is a better scorer because of his ridiculous height and length imo. His turn around jumper is basically unblockable while carmelo is a little over 6'7"

KD is a much better defender & a playmaker though.

Only if he was 6'10" and still be able to move the way he does now.

Melo isn't the playmaker that KD is, but I think he's overall better.

You think he became this good without working hard?

Where's the proof that Melo isn't a hard worker and that KD is a hard worker? Let's not sit here and pretend KD doesn't have huge physical advantages.

Nah, KD is more talented (in no small part due to his length advantage).

If Melo could get some of the foul calls KD gets then he could've.

Also, pair him with cp3 or Deron williams and he could've reached a final in 2008-2010 span.

KD has better tools at his disposal and he knows how to use them properly. Melo is behind him because he's not as naturally gifted, not because he doesn't work hard.

I'm sick of hearing people talk about Melo like he's a POS who just doesn't care enough to work hard on his game, when he very obviously does. This guy was the NBA scoring champ last year and has carried a bunch of losers this year, yet he gets talked about like he's a has-been.

yes Durant could become as good as Melo if he had to play under the same officiating as Melo for 1-2 seasons.
Definetely:applause:

Let me see a tandem of Westbrook and Melo for a year. Then you'll get your answer.

How is he overall better? Durant scores more points on higher efficiency, which is Melo's true strong suit. Melo has zero case. :oldlol:

That's a stretch stating KD is a much better defender..
Who's to say Melo doesnt work hard?
For whatever reason, Melo never seems to get the same calls other stars get
