KG, Kobe, and Wade come to mind from this era.
I'm sure I'm forgetting someone...
How do you define "all time great"?

Assuming this thread is about Kobe (almost every post is ignored), he was injured for 25+ games that year. If you blame him, you're a mindless idiot.

Kareem in '76 actually won the MVP in doing so. Also missed in '75 but that's because he missed games (35-30 with him, 3-14 without him).
Wilt in '63 which was actually the highest PER season of all-time. Was on pace in doing so again in '65 (10-28 record) but he was traded.
Oscar like 3 or 4 times.
Bran in '05. Yes he started his prime.
Hakeem in '92 because he missed games (40-30 with him, 2-10 without him).
Kobe is the only one :oldlol:

Read the post above yours slowly. Sound out any big words you have trouble with.

Too bad Walton was injured near the end of his 77-78 season. He had led his team to a 50-10 record when he went down. I believe he played a few minutes in the playoffs, but was obviously just a shell.

And technically, I guess you could claim that Rick Barry and Dr. J missed the NBA playoffs in their primes.

Kareem missed the playoffs twice in a row during his prime.
Oscar missed the playoffs thrice in a row in his prime.
Barkley missed the playoffs in '88 and '92.
KG missed the playoffs from '05-'07.

unfortunately true. there is so much trolling it gets annoying. however, once in a while, there is some genuine quality basketball talk. that is what keeps me coming to ISH. If only there were valid alternatives though.
