Stern went overboard and got a little over sensitive.

Maybe he doesn't realize that Van Gundy always jokes around though and always comments on random shit. Like all of us have probably seen around 50 games Van Gundy has done and so we've heard Van Gundy speak for about 100 hours and we know his personality and how he jokes around. Stern might not.

I was thinking the same thing about Stern. I listen to him and I wouldn't really call this serious, but more of his light ball busting after someone said something negative about him. He talks for four hours, if someone mentions him, he's going to address it. If Van Gundy walks up to him and tells him that he was just joking around then I wouldn't even be surprised if they went to dinner some day.

I'm well aware of the song. I'm not sure if you're aware but here, it's been in high usage for the last four months or so and will soon fade out. You must be new here, that's how all catch phrases are here. They have a finite lifespan.
