With his length, athleticism, and bball IQ he is a beast on the defensive and offensive end. Someone in an another thread made the argument that he is better than Yao. Is he a top 5 big man in the NBA?

Here is how I see it

1- Dirk
2- Duncan
3a- Yao
3b- KG
5-Jermaine or Bosh or Shaq or Amare or Howard ...

Can't really argue with that list...Jermaine seems right anywhere between 5 and 8 ....but I would take Howard over all of them just cause of age and unlimited potential...

Yeah, but O'Neal is a playoff soft-serve. He maybe 5-8 regular season but he's 12-15 come playoff time.

Potential is an interesting word. Possibility.. Not that i'm comparing the two, but Eddie Curry has the potential to grab 10 boards a game.

True ..But Howard is way more athletic then Curry ever was...but I guess only time will tell..

yeah that's true. Dwight has freakish athleticism, all that is yet to be seen is if he will expand his offensive game.

I think Shaq is proving he deserves to be on that list also.

TD, Dirk, KG, Shaq, Yao, Dwight, Bynum,Boozer, Amare, Brand, Bosh, Camby are all better. Jermaine is about 13th. Probably would take Okafor over him too but have barely seen him play. The league is loaded with good PF/FC/C.

No he is not.

1. Dirk
2. Duncan
3. KG
4. Yao
5. Shaq

Those 5 are all unquestionalby better then him. Add to the mix Bosh, Howard, Boozer, Okafor and Amare who all have an argument at being better then him and he is not top 5.

I would rank him at 7 or 8. I would take Amare over him and possibly Bosh too.
