They'll come out of the woodwork if Toronto gets eliminated early or eventually. For them, it's all about being "right", no matter what situation it is.

That or you can find them on Real GM Raptors board still taking back handed compliments to the players, management, coaches, ownership, fans who want the team to win, etc...

The Raptors are madd underrated. I feel they can beat any team in the Eastern Conference except the Heat. Kyle "The Bowling Ball" Lowry is a f*cking pest on defense and he has the heart of a champion.

:applause: So glad this team made the playoffs this year. I can't wait to see Lowry dominate John Wall in the playoffs.

Wasn't really a nickname per se but a lot of people called him that. I think Bill Worrell our commentator was the one who coined the term. :lol He wasn't scared of driving in and finishing around the rim. Feisty little fella Lowry is. Is his defense still good?

I certainly thought it was the route to take at the start of the season, but then I didn't expect trading Rudy Gay to have such a drastic positive impact on the team. I don't know what the right move is for the Raps going forward but I've been enjoying watching this team succeed this season in any case.

He can be prone to getting lit up at times by high scoring PG's, but it happens. He's still very good and tenacious. Nickname in Toronto is either "K-Low" or "The Pitbull". I believe leads the league in charges taken. His strength on defense is definitely his help defense.

He is fearless. Also, set a franchise record tonight for 3 pointers in a season for a Raptor, which is also a career high for Kyle.

I think he could get some all-defensive team votes this year.

Hmmm interesting to see his help defense is his biggest strength on defense now. As a Rocket his on ball defense was his biggest strength. I like 'The Pitbull' though, sounds catchy.

You think they can beat the Wizards?

Definitely. I think every Raptor fan wants Washington at this point.

Right now, were slated to face Brooklyn if the season ended today. Many have concerns about facing them because of experience, but I think we can beat anybody in the 1st round.

Only think that I think they will run into is being too anxious. They will be the least experienced team come playoff time. They just have to execute and play defense.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Brooklyn wins that series. They have one of the best records in the NBA since January and they have a bunch of veterans. Rooting for the Raptors though! I like Kyle Lowry. Too bad him and McHale didn't get along, but he brought good things to the city of Houston.

Hopefully he shines in the playoffs.

Why didn't the Rockets keep Patrick Patterson ? Similar reason (coaching) or did they want to develop Thomas Robinson (from the trade)/Terrence Jones ?

Maybe the best Raptors team ever. Not saying much, but you got to start somewhere.

If they survive til the 2nd round then we talk.

The team overall looks really good though. Good enough against a veteran, and now healthy, team like the Net? We will see. But to be sure they should better climb back to 3rd and face Wiz or Bobcats instead.

Why didn't the Rockets keep Patrick Patterson ?

They traded him to make room for Dwight, money. In retrospect they probably could have kept him but Morey was doing everything he could to make room for Dwight. Terrence Jones has been coming along just fine, only thing Patrick has on Jones is range. I think Rockets were basically trading every PF to make room for D-Mo as well but I'm not sure.

Fun fact: multiple teams have been created and won championships since the last time the Knicks won it all.

Another fun fact: Knicks had one solid year for the better part of 20 years yet the fanbase feels entitled.

I agree. The only tough pick was the selection was the South West division and they ended up getting it wrong:

Southwest Division champs

Voting was close, though. Houston Rockets (14 votes), San Antonio Spurs (12 votes), Memphis Grizzlies (2 votes).

I was talking to Jballer about this in another thread:

http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=327097

I honestly don't understand the "hatred" between Toronto Raptor fans vs New York Knicks/Brooklyn Net fans. I've seen this being a common theme on other boards too. Is there a superiority/inferiority complex between these 3 franchises fan bases ? I only bring it up because it has been mentioned before. There's quiet a lot of nasty things been said to one another.

Seems like it's happening in this thread too. Sometimes it's Knicks/Nets fans going at Raptors fans. Sometimes it's the opposite.

What gives ?
