Past 3 seasons Roy Hibbert was a solid rebounder.

2010-11: 9.8 rebounds per 36 minutes
2011-12: 10.6 rebounds per 36 minutes:
2012-13: 10.4 rebounds per 36 minutes

2013-14: 8.0 rebounds per 36 minutes, and his rebounding was much better earlier in the year. :biggums:

He only needs to rebound against one team, the Heat.

Yet Haslem makes him look like Mugsy Bogues.

Actually, Mugsy could probably get more than 1 rebound in a game

per 36 is a useless stat.

It's what happens when you have a vertical that's shorter than the average d*ck size

You guys are missing my point. It's not like Roy Hibbert was ever Bill Russell or anything, but he used to at least not embarrass himself on the boards.

pg, david west, george hill, and lance stephenson are great rebounders too. they rebound as a team while hibbert boxes out the big-man.

Roy Hibbert as an all star player is a hoax.

You would have to actually watch the games to know he's not a bad rebounder. If you watched those 3 seasons then you'd notice he's not being out rebounded by the opposing team, but more by his teammates. I'll go out on a limb and say anybody on their roster who's minutes increased that their rrbounds increased by a bit because PG is a good rebounder and so is Stephenson.

Pacers have always been a great rebounding team since Roy started coming into his own.

As for his own individual rebounding, people need to stop looking at the man's height. He doesn't have good rebounding instincts to be a great rebounder. He does well when he's on his game, but it seems like he hasn't been for the last 2 months now.

I just wonder what happened to his scoring the last 3 months. He hasn't scored over 10 a game during since the end of January. :facepalm

This plus PG and Stephenson play more minutes now.

Paul George and Lance Stephenson are good rebounders, and taking away from Hibbert.

George
2011: 3.7
2012: 5.6
2013: 7.6
2014: 6.7

Stephenson
2011: 1.5
2012: 1.3
2013: 3.9
2014: 7.1

Let's be honest, you wanted to derail the thread with this. You just love talking about dick.

You posted a picture of a horse's d*ck once and kept talking about how small 20Four's d*ck was. This is like the 10th time I've even said the word d*ck on this forum. You've said it about a thousand times. Let's face it... you bolded the words on my comment and replied to it just so you could start a d*ck conversation with someone.

Why?
Because it exponentializes statistics that arent meant per minute consistent. If you play 1 minute a game and scores 2 points, per 36 you score 72. Extreme example I know, but get's my point across.

Why?
Because it doesn't suit his Roy hating agenda...

Anyway, glad some posters already explained the same common sense I've been explaining...But when people make up their minds that they don't like a certain player, there's nothing you can say to change their minds...:confusedshrug:

He's never been a great rebounder. 14.4% Career total rebound percentage. Best ever season was 2012 with 16.6%. Mediocre for a big man.

Compare that to Dwight - 20.7% career total rebound percentage. Best ever season is 2010 with 22%.

How about Tyson Chandler? 18.4% career total rebound percentage. Best ever season was 2007 with 20.7%.

You don't even need to jump to be a good individual rebounder.
It's all about positioning and boxing out

There is weaker defense in the league so his team mates and the other team's players are scoring more so therefore there are less rebounds to grab.

I speak only the truth.

He's letting team chemistry problems affect his game. We're picking on hibbert, but isn't everyone in the team underperforming? He's not like a shaq or Kareem that will always be great no matter what, but I still think he has the capabilities to be one of the most impactful centers in the league. There's just some nasty locker room stuff going on over there that's throwing everyone's game off, and they better start shaping up, like right now. I can't watch another Miami championship.

I feel like the pacers collapse started happening when the strange Paul George stories and pictures started popping up on the internet. It's all PG's fault!

bolded isnt a word

obviously using per 36 over small sample sizes is foolish, but when its over the course of a season, its fine, as far as im concerned

Its not. Never has been. Roy cant even play 36 minutes with his asthma.
