The slump is over, Miami must be shitting bricks right now.

They only fear Roy Hibbert. As long as he's garbage, no one cares about Indiana.

Oklahoma is purposefully throwing the game

While this whole forum is based on overreaction, I'm going to agree. Despite 17 turnovers, they are killing the Thunder. Playing great, unselfish basketball. I said it earlier in the gamethread, but that slump can help them on their way to becoming great.

Forget those other guys. Hibbert is 0-9 from the field. He's their biggest weapon against Miami. Unless HE gets his shit together, Miami isn't scared.

He's playing decent. Can't ignore the FGA/M, but the shots he missed were easy, makeable layups and hooks. You won't struggle forever on those type of shots. Indiana is getting back to their old self just in time.

hibbert tends to play his best against miami though, he's actually pretty mediocre against most teams

Despite this crazy slump they still have a shot at the #1 seed, we all know Miami isn't the same team they were in 2012 & 2013.

Despite 21 turnovers to just 9, Indiana were solid tonight. Just in time.

Beating a team by 5 points hardly means their back. If they were back and making Miami "shit bricks" they would have won on Miami's home court.

Indiana isn't even guaranteed to meet Miami in the ECF despite the 1st seed.

Until they lose at Orlando to close the season. They just beat Miami at home a few weeks ago and proceeded to still suck against bad teams on the road.

Hats off to them today because they certainly outplayed OKC and deserved the win, but I'm going to have to see more from them to believe they're back.

inb4 Indy loses at Orlando because Orlando wants to give the fans a good show after a tanking season

That was more of a choke by OKC than a win by Indiana TBH.

How? Indy controlled it all game and had a big lead in the 4th..okc had no business winning.

What makes Miami so invincible? They have lost 4 out of their last 6 games against average teams and we don't know if Wade will be 100% throughout the playoffs.

They were in control of the game from the tip, played good team defense and hot potato ball on the offensive end. Hibbert, despite 0-9, did what he has to do: protect the rim. West and Scola will be a force against the Heat, since they don't pay attention to both their midrange games at all.

OKC - 43%, Ind -53%
Indiana 21 turnovers
George/Hibbert - 1-11 in the first half
Durant 10/10 from the ft line

I'm talking more specifically in the 4th.

They were tied:
Durant loses PG - George hits wide open 3
Durant takes bad 3 off the dribble and gets blocked by West
Durant loses Stephenson and Stephenson hits a 3

This was the turn of events that really cost them the game

What you just said makes no sense. Blame Durant for his crappy D and bad shot selection.

In case you didn't watch the game, the Pacers controlled the entire game. They had no business even being that close. So I guess George gets no credit for makng the 3, West gets no credt for a good block and Lance gets no credit for his 3 because OKC laid down for them...gotcha....

What makes Indiana so invincible ? Because they sure haven't shown they are clear cut top 2 team in the east since March even against those same average teams. Forget Miami, what makes them better than Chicago or Toronto ? Or even Brooklyn and Washington ?

LOL the Pacers didn't control the entire game and just as you think he isn't giving the Pacers credit you aren't giving the Thunder credit for coming back and tying the game late. Controlled the entire game my ass.

Yeah I guess I should rephrase. I meant to say Durant choked this one away, not so much the Thunder. Pacers shouldn't feel great about a 21 turnover game despite the win. Hard to say they're back, but they could be :confusedshrug: We'll see

They controlled the game, but OKC was unusually cold from 3 pt land. Westbrook started hitting some in the 4th, and all of a sudden it was tied with 2 minutes left. Not trying to take away from your victory. CJ Watson balled his ass off, and Jerry West with the clutch block :applause: PG/Stephenson hitting 3s when they count. Respect (although Hibbert gets no love :lol)

It's just hard to say "Indiana is back!" They still have a lot to prove but it's a step in the right direction.

Hibbert doesn't have much of a game to find in the first place. He's a horrible offensive player and instead of getting better as he gets more exp he's getting worse. His impact there is defensively, but the Pacers are never going to win with their crap offense. They were 20th last year and are even worse this year at 23rd. No team can win the championship being that bad offensively. You have to be at least top 10 and pretty good in both to have a legit chance. The Pacers offense is just not going to get it done. Hibbert has never done anything except against one team and the fact that he's capable of doing that when he's utter garbage has to make you think how scary would it be if the Pacers had someone who actually had some skill like say Rik Smits of the the 90s pacers teams.
