Damn, this dude is going to finish the season averaging only...
4.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, shooting 35%, in 12.7 mins
What were the Cavs' front office thinking before they made the decision to draft Bennett?? Gotta feel bad for them. They shoulda traded the pick for a 2014 draft pick, imo.

His ceiling is having the same efficiency as Hibbert... so he could become an all star in the future :applause:
Hard to call that a bust

I'll give him a few years, big men tend to last longer in this league than perimeter players. So he has a lot of time to improve

He showed some pretty solid potential before getting hurt this year. He just needed playing time.
If he gets around 25MPG next year, I predict 10/5 on 45%. Which, believe it or not, is solid for this class.

His highlight of the season was that one preseason game where he scored 16 points vs the Magic and had that big 4th quarter.
Some people were saying that he was gonna become the next Melo, Larry Johnson or even Charles Barkley. LoL

he had a 19/10 game and a couple of really decent performances for a short stretch before he had that injury.
Bennett really barely played this season. He came in so out of shape and played so little it took him a long time to hit his stride.

Totally forgot he had a 19/10 game this season :facepalm
I think he's got a chance to be good in the future if he gets in shape and stays healthy. His rookie season was obviously bad though because of his injuries and bad shooting

I think he has until his rookie contract is over. Don't be surprised if the Cavs don't pick him up. I know he came in hurt, but if he could not get minutes on the Cleveland Cavaliers than that tell you a lot as a #1 pick. He seems so immature as well.

Not at all true. But, I'm sure you didn't watch many Cavs games, so you can be forgiven for being uninformed.
Before the injury in early March which ended his season, AB was starting to come around. In fact, pretty much any time he was given consistent playing time, he produced.
He played over 20 minutes just six times in his rookie year. Here were the results of those six occasions...
1/28 Pelicans - 15 points (5-10 shooting), 8 rebounds
2/03 @Mavs - 11 points (3-8 shooting), 3 rebounds
2/05 Lakers - 14 points (4-10 shooting), 8 rebounds
2/07 @Wiz - 8 points (3-4 shooting), 6 rebounds
2/11 Kings - 19 points (6-9 shooting), 10 rebounds
2/18 @Sixers - 10 points (5-9 shootings), 11 rebounds
So, he scored in double-figures on all but one of those games and had two double-doubles. Considering most No. 1 picks average close to or over 30 minutes a game, I think it's safe to assume that, given these kinds of minutes over the course of the whole season, his production would have looked something like 13/8.

Totally forgot the stretch where he had those numbers.
He needs a new coach. A coach that gives him motivation and more minutes. More motivation gives you more confidence. My ****ing god, why the hell did the Cavs hire Mike Brown?

He came out after his freshman year, one and done. This is what happens, he should have a 5 year window before anyone calls him a bust.
