Would have made it if Godsoe didn't miss so many games.

They weren't a threat anyway. Pressure got to them at the end of this season with a healthy team and the playoffs still in reach.

to be honest, Memphis probably gets 4-6 seed if mark wasn't injured for so many games.

That was too painful for me to handle.
Our lack of experience caused us to choke away too many games that mattered too much.

you have the brighest future in the NBA. pick someone good this year and sign a star in the offseason and you guys are instant contenders.
the team is unbelievably deep on offense already

Suns choked down the stretch.

Sucks that they'll be missing out on that playoff revenue, while receiving a shitty pick this year.

It is when you were expected to win only 20-25 games. Sad how a 47 win team will miss the playoffs in one conference and a 37 win team in the other conference will get in. :facepalm

U know... For what was to be expected before the start of the season, even Suns fans may have been a little surprise that we are fighting for a PO spot in the west.

Sure we missed a high pick and the PO, but these young players shown us fans they had a fight in them. Though it wasn't enough but for players like Green, Plumlee, Bledsoe, Marcus, who never had a chance to play those minutes and roles, this was a great season for them.
The team can't just go on to compete with this level of talents on the team, but the Suns got some flexibility and assets moving forward. If they make the right move this off season we will be seeing a team that is not only talented, but a young team who plays with heart.

But the biggest positive for this organization, is how quickly the Suns' new management and coaching impacted the thought to be lost season. The rebuild off the MVsteve era, how an old team with little to no assets transformed to what we are seeing today. How the Suns went from Gortat, Jdud, Scola, to a competitive young team with picks. And the one leading us is a rookie coach. 9th spot out west, losing Bledsoe for a good half season. Damn can u hate them?
The front court is bad though, but I believe the Suns will be looking to fix that up. Can't wait for next season

Sucks for Suns and their fans. What sucks as much as missing the playoffs is their draft position. I fear they will be one of those teams stuck in mediocre territory for years.

That said, I would be potentially more sad for Memphis or Dallas if they missed the playoffs. Dallas got screwed royally in an important game late in the season, and Memphis would have clearly been a higher seed if Marc was healthy more of the season. They are a completely different team with him on the court.

I wanted them to make it. They are one of those teams that cause match up issues. Remind me of the B-Diddy Warriors that took out Dallas.

Very surprising season from the Suns and they definitely have a bright future.

They can also take comfort in the fact that no matter how bad they may be now, they will always shit on the entire Magic franchise.

LOL, I will take our 110 degree dry heat and our 70 degree days in February over your 100 degree humid summers and 3 feet of snow in February.

I will also put this season amongst the top ones I have experienced as a Suns fan:

1. 93 finals
2. 2010 west finals run
3. Nash's 2nd MVP year
4. Nash's first MVP year
5. This season

That puts it ahead of about another 10 years where they made the playoffs. The excitement of this team, getting to watch freak athletes like Green, Bledsoe and Plumlee on a nightly basis, wins over almost every elite team in the NBA, some of them multiple times. It's not just about making the playoffs, it is about the entertainment I get while spending hundreds of hours of my life watching basketball over the course of a season. As an NBA fan, I am still going to enjoy watching the bloodbath that will be this year's West playoffs.

I think the Suns needed this kind of wake-up call. They thought their current team was going to be enough to carry them to a playoff run and decided not to make a move before the trade deadline. Now they know that it wasn't. They have a lot of bright spots and great chemistry, but they need to make additional improvements if they are going to compete in the Western conference. They have the flexibility to be able to do that.

Finally, I think Suns are front-runners for three awards:
-Green should be most improved player.
-Markeiff Morris has a strong case for 6th man
-Hornacek will probably be coach of the year (I disagree with the pick because I think Popovich should be COTY every year, but with the way they select them, it will be Hornacek.)

They have like 4 picks in this year's draft. They should trade them all for one of the top picks, sign one proven veteran, resign Bledsoe and become a contender next year.

Grats on a great season Suns!

It really sucks that a 48 win team in one conference is at home watching a 37 win team in the other conference getting drilled.

The future is bright in Phoenix. Be happy!

I think the only people that wanted the Grizzles to make the playoffs were Memphis fans. Everyone else wanted Phoenix to take that last spot. They had a good run and very surprising season. A shame they didn't make it
