View Full Version : Clippers will sweep Warriors.

But seriously, unlike the other guy I'm not trolling. Blake Griffin & Deandre are going to average like 50/30 a game in this series. The one guy on the Warriors who could play good defense is completely out. The match ups are terrible. Warriors will get swept and hopefully that's enough for a coaching change cause ya'll aren't going anywhere with Mark Jackson. Steph & Klay need to combine for like 70 points a game for them to have any shot.

Clippers are certainly the favorite, but they won't sweep us. We've played them even (4/4) the past two years in the regular season.

If David Lee didn't suck balls they'd have a chance. I don't think Mark Jackson is a very good coach so I don't see them winning this series.
Doesn't really matter because they Clippers are gonna get raped by OKC.
The Clippers are not unbeatable against a lower seed. They'll most likely advance, but it's not going to be a sweep. Curry alone will win a game or two.

Warriors get up for the Clippers more than they do any other team.
No way the Clips sweep them. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the Warriors took the Clips to 6 or 7 games.

My first reaction was to think it's Clipper fans that are sensitive but now I think it's just you. You know it's true. It's just reality. The first rounds will be fun to watch but it's almost a sure thing that OKC and the Spurs are going to meet in the conference finals.

Something funny? A healthy Bogut and D Lee is enough to give DJ and Blake problems. Iggy can lock up Matt Barnes or Crawford or whatever. And Steph/Klay backcourt is better than Collison and CP3.

Last Clips game I caught they were running Collison at 1 and CP3 at 2.
DLee/Bogut ~ Blake/DJ (edge to Clips, but it's close)
Iggy > Crawford/Barnes/whoever Clips got at 3
CP3/Redick ~ Curry/Klay (edge to Warriors, but it's close)
Yeah really hilarious that guy thought we matched up well while healthy  :facepalm

This guy has Crawford as a SF and put Collison as the starting two. Erm, well, I guess Paul as a starting SG. I'm supposed to take it serious?

6-8 more wins on the season despite missing CP for a good time?
25-17 versus .500+ teams versus 19-25?
With Paul, Clippers are 2-1 versus the W's with the starting unit fully intact. Both wins being by double digits and the loss being by 2?

We also were without Iggy for a long time, and our record was a lot worse without him. Plus our bench got upgraded halfway through the season. I think Warriors have the 3rd or 4th best record since the start of the year.

The games were closer than you make them out to be. Warriors led the entire game till a 4th quarter breakdown last time the teams played.

Iggy would be more comparable to Clippers missing JJ Redick/Jamal Crawford for extended periods. JJ has only played like 35-40 games iirc.
As did the Clippers? We had Hollins/Mullens playing big minutes as opposed to Big Baby? And had Dudley getting the bulk of SF time.
The games were closer than you make them out to be. Warriors led the entire game till a 4th quarter breakdown last time the teams played.
The first game, Clips took an 11 point lead after one without looking back.
The loss, Clippers led by three going into the fourth.
The second W, Clippers led by five going into the final period?

:wtf: :biggums: :biggums: :biggums: :biggums:
First off, Collison was not the designated starting point.
Second off, playing people out of position for a stretch due to injuries, does not make that their typical unit. But hey, whatever makes you feel better.

Warriors statistically had the worst bench in the league...
And judging by team records with and without those players mentioned, I'd say Iggy's more valuable to the Warriors :confusedshrug:

And I wouldn't discredit the 19 point win against you guys just because CP3 was out, IIRC the Clippers had a pretty damn similar record without him, and BG was beasting during that period

Clippers had Jared "Ryan Gomes" Dudley starting at the three along with Byron Mullens playing bulk of the time.
They were close, I suppose, but the Warriors didn't lead?
And yes, that game w/o CP was a major difference as well. Willie Green spotting time as a point?

The Warriors will probably win at least one game. They live and die by the 3. Bogut being out will hurt them. But also if the officiating allows the Warriors to play dirty that could help them. They have guys with limited skills that are good at fouling and playing dirty.

It's possible these injuries may help the Warriors.
Playing traditionally, with 2 bigs, the Warriors have been a worse version of the traditional Clippers as evidenced by the results of a 82 game season and the respective record vs. .500 teams.
However, playing non-traditionally might change the game.
A non-traditional Warrior's offense that relies on Curry having the ball the whole time and a 1-in, 4-out offense creates a high variability team.
They could be very bad but - if they get hot 4 games out of 7 - they could also be very good and cause an upset.
