Instead of fun, gun, unpredictability, and fearlessness with a team that could have given the Spurs fits, we get the most boring non-lottery team in the West. Really, the only West team that's no fun to watch- the Memphis Grizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzlies.
So, enjoy those games of Mike Conley maybe doing something good, throw it into the boring big men, and hope it's not brick city.
The Suns fell behind by 15 at times and they were never out of it.
But put them down 20 against the Spurs? Good-bye, Charlie.
I feel like nobody outside of Memphis is happy Boring Ball is in.
I hope it's 4 and out- the faster we can get the 1 really unwatchable West team out, the better.
Sorry, but Grit and Grind Is Yawn and Snore to me.

I like the Grizz. Love Z-Bo, Conley, Marc and Tony Allen.

Probably take the Spurs to 6 games doe. Grizzlies are a more dangerous 8th seed than the Suns.

The Grizzlies would have won 55 or more games with a healthy Gasol.
They will likely end up the 7 seed too...unless they want the Spurs...which I don't see why they would in this case.
Wednesday will be interesting...both teams have a much better chance against the Thunder imo. Wonder if they will go all out and play for it...or will one or both of the teams rest guys.

I don't think we've lost to them in a couple of seasons.
I've watched quite a bit of Memphis this year, and they really don't look like that physical/bruiser team their reputation lends them. It's probably because they've tried expanding their game out to the 3 point line (their lack of 3 point shooters is what killed them off against the Spurs this year).
If the Spurs don't sweep, it'll go to five, max. :confusedshrug:
I'm sure the Phoenix/Spurs series would have been funner to watch though.

Personnel-wise, this is the best Grizz team ever. Lee & Miller upped the shooting and we finally have a solid backup PG and C.
The problem is the coach. His rotations are horrible; the Grizzlies are notorious for losing comfortable 4th quarter leads, and he still waits til the 6 min mark or under to re-insert Conley & Gasol. Every fan at the forum knows it, and he's not held in high regard here. They no longer have Lionel riding their asses on defense.
Don't think Lionel is an elite coach, but he's very good and a great disciplinarian. A great example of players giving the most respect to coaches that have played the game.

I feel even more bad for Phoenix that EC teams clearly worse than them are making it into the playoffs. Grizz making it is not a fluke. Atlanta, in the 8th seed, won 37 games :facepalm

Speak for yourself ***. As a basketball fan, I would much rather see the ball being pounded in the post by quality Big men and see them go to work. I like seeing a TEAM, dump it inside. I like watching post games and good footwork, etc.
Don't when watch the play offs. Go rent NBA JAM

Grizz is more dangerous then the suns. Grizz is also a better playoff team.

I want the Griz to beat the Mavs tomorrow so Dallas gets the 8th seed and we can see a legendary Dirk vs Duncan matchup for one last time

Memphis is more dangerous than the average 7th/8th seed. I think they are more of a threat for SA/OKC than the Mavs.
The West playoffs are going to be really fun to watch.

OP is many things, not the least of which being an idiot, and a ph@ggot.
But anyway, I really hope the Grizz end up playing the Thunder in the first round. I think they have a legit chance of winning that series. Plus, becuase I'm in Texas, a Mavs-Spurs series would be fun.
It sucks because I'd actually like to see the Grizz, Mavs, and Spurs all win their opening series, but unfortunately some combination of the two will be matched up against each other in the first round.

I love the Grizz:
Zbo is a true banger, grabbing boards, has some nice post work.
Gasol is a pleasure to watch on the defensive end and has some nice moves
Love seeing Tony Allen lock up the other teams best player despite his size. Pure heart guy
Conley is the most underrated PG in the game by far. Amazing on D and can light it up and facilitate with the best of them.
They made the Conference finals last year, OP is dumb as hell

I used to really like them circa 2011... now? Ehhh, still okay.
Look, Suns will have 2 All Stars next Year in Dragic/Bledsoe AND could get more acquisitions ala Kevin Love...

No, it's not a shame. Memphis is better than Phoenix. How they play to how they get in the playoffs doesn't matter. All that should matter is the results.
Besides, it becomes hard to run and gun in the playoffs when the pace slows down.
Grizzlies are a dangerous team and would have been a higher seed than 8th if Gasol hadn't missed 24 games.

OP is like Jameer, Memphis are a much better 8th seed than Phx, productivity > exciting basketball, I would rather watch a team that actually stands a chance against the Spurs, plus for fans of low-post/run through your bigs teams the Grizz are great to watch.

As people already said, Grizzlies is a great team to watch.
Marc is one of the guys I like most in the league with great defense and amazing passing for a big.
Zach is a animal in the low post, Allen is a incridible defender and Conley is between he top 10 PG's in the game.
And I think they have a chance against the Spurs or the Thunder. They're now a better team that they were last season they now have shooters to spread the floor like Miller and Lee, a good backup center in Koufos and a decent backup PG in Calathes.
James Johnson (even though he's playing much lately) is a good defender and can bother Durant and Ginobili.
It's such a shame that Gasol missed a long time and they will have to face one of the 2 best teams in the conference in the first round. This team could beat the other 5 playoffs teams.

I find Dallas more boring. Probably because I'm sick of seeing Dalembert do anything.

This year's playoffs should be great

Suns can't complain, they lost all 4 games to the Grizz this season.

typical highlight reel mentality. We dont want the team that has progressed pretty far in the playoffs every year and is a tough out because they are defensive minded (very important in the playoffs). The only low seed that can actually challenge the spurs.
We want the mediocre defensive team that dunks and shoots threes a lot!
The average nba "fan" these days is a little like Jon Snow. They know nothing.
