What scenario do you see unfolding here?

Which teams do you think Spurs/Thunder would rather see?

Don't care either way for OKC.

Neither team will be a good matchup for the mavs :( If I was a betting man I would take either the spurs or the thunder against the mavs

But i am scared shitless of the spurs.

I'd like to play Grizz.

My two fav teams. Tony Allen ftw

Both teams would rather face the Thunder, oddly enough.

As a Spurs fan, I'd rather see the Mavs because of the Duncan/Dirk matchup, and because they have real trouble defending our ball movement. However, I think they have a better chance of taking down the Thunder than the Grizz do.

I think Mavs beat Memphis tomorrow though.

Depending on what happens tomorrow night, it could be the Clippers playing one of those teams. I think OKC would rather see Dallas. Myself I think they would handle the Grizz easier than Dallas.

Hoping we win this one. Not that we'll beat OKC, but I'd rather play them than SAS. More entertaining, and atleast we can possibly take a game or two. It'll be nice to win 50 games, and give up that top 20 protected pick as well.

No doubt.

As a Thunder fan, I respect both Griz and Mav

What is the story on that pick? I heard something briefly on the news about it

It would suck to lose to them in the first round though. Hypothetically.

That pick is top 20 protected till 2017. If mavs win, the pick goes to OKC.. if they lose and TOR, CHI wins then there will be a coin-flip to determine the order of the picks.

so yeah, if we dont get rid of it soon then it may go unprotected to you guys in 2018, and that is when the mavs are most likely rebuilding since dirk might retire by then.

With Bogut being out, I might actually prefer to play the Thunder over the Clippers.

I wanna see...
Spurs vs Mavs
Thunder vs Grizzlies

Who doesn't wanna see another Texas showdown? A rematch between Timmy D vs Nowitzki? Would be pretty cool. I'd definitely tune in to watch every game of that series.

Definitely interesting to watch how it unfolds and how hard certain teams try to win or not.

Why would people want to play the Grizzlies? They're a much better team than their record indicates. 39-19 with Marc Gasol compared to 10-13 without him. Not to mention Memphis has beaten both of these teams in the playoffs before.

I would be praying for unreliable Monta Ellis and old Dirk over the Grizzlies if I were a Spurs or Thunder fan.

In that case, they WOULD be playing Golden State because GS is locked into the 6 seed.

It's all about match-ups. Spurs usually don't have problems with big men-oriented teams - matching up against a strength - defense of Duncan, Splitter (and Diaw). They have loads of problems vs jump shooting teams. Their best perimeter defenders are Leonard and Green and since Parker and Manu must play - the perimeter defense suffers. Guarding Dirk and Monta is more difficult for SAS. Mem has no one to trouble them on the perimeter.

I came here to post the same thing. I kinda would rather see the mavs give the thunder some bruises before moving on. Dirk vs kid is also a fun watch.

Couldn't OKC just hand the Clippers the 2nd seed? Pretty please with sugar on top?

I would rather play OKC. Spurs are fun, it's always fun watching Dirk school Duncan, but the Spurs are just too good 2-10.

Give me the Thunder. Dallas can best them in the 1st round.

I'm feeling pessimistic today.

Mavs lose to Grizzlies. Get swept by Spurs.

Grizz go on to get swept by the Thunder.

Now one of ya'll better go on to sweep the Heat in the Finals. Don't care which one. Love Durant. Love Duncan and Pops. Just beat the Heat for us and we are cool.

this is why i respect TMT a lot he knows what his talking about... Grizz may have the 8th seed but that team can beat everyone in the west in a seven game series.
