Yes yes, some of you still moer bball, sadly my magic are out so
But Dewayne Dedmon really stood out to me as the Magic season was winding down and Vuc went out, solid help/rim defender, played his role and just hustled his ass off everytime he played, had a few 9 rebound games, a 10 and finished the year with a 13 rebound game agasint the hibbertless pacers:banana:
He showed that he deserves a spot in the league, hopefully on the magic roster, after the warriors and sixers passed on him. but as a end of the bench big man he could stick around in the league:rockon:
hopefully the magic get a good look at him in the summer league and he can stick, cause i never want to see Jason Maxiell ever again:facepalm
any other teams find some unexpected gems during their season, or just guys that really stepped it up.
cause it sure as hell wasn't oladipo, sorry jameer:coleman:

matthew dellavedova.
undrafted PG out of st. mary's
when i saw this guy in summer league i didn't understand why so many people around the cavs hyped him so much. Not a great passer, not fast or athletic, not a good shooter, questionable ball skills, etc.
but to his credit this guy can just play. He got a lot better as the year progressed with his shooting and passing, but his defense and toughness have been uncanny. I'm now a fan.

I would have to say Westbrook.
I don't think anyone else in the history of the league, legends included, could have come back from those two knee procedures the way Westbrook did. I don't know if he's just a knucklehead that doesn't know any better of if he is just incredibly strong mentally, either way, he's amazing.

Terrence Jones.
I knew he was going to be good but not this fast. This is his first year really even being in a rotation because he only played 19 gms last year at random times throughout.
But he has impressed me alot. His face-up game is very, very solid. He just needs a jumper and nobody at the PF could guard him.
He is very gifted on defense, he has all the tools to be a KG-type defender.
16/9/1.5/1/1.7 per 36 with 54% FG and 56% eFG and a 19.1 PER :applause:
Gonna be an all-star in two quick years if he develops that jumper.

Draymond Green, by a longshot.
About this time last year, if you told me how Draymond and Harrison Barnes would turn out this season, I'd have been like

Kyle Lowry.
i remember starting a thread in the off season asking if anyone would think he would be a top 10 pg this year, mainly due to it being a contract year. no one really agreed, so im sure everyone has to be impressed with not only how great he played, but how he was able to remain consistent and relatively injury free all year.

John Wall. I knew he was good, but he stayed healthy for the entire season and led a team to the Playoffs while averaging 19 & 9 & his 3pt shooting has actually been above-average. 35% on 4 attempts a game after not having a consistent 3pt shot for his first 3 seasons. Happy to see him lead a team to 44 wins and a 5th seed.

Didn't expect Lillard to put up 21 PPG and start drawing a good amount of fouls so soon

Why should everyone put Dragic? I expected that.
But...
Delladova
MCW
Leonard, Butler, Favors (in a bad way, so I guess not for this thread)
Westbrook
Duncan (is he ever going to get old?)
Anthony Davis

Huh?
Last year: 19 PPG, 3.9 FTA
This year: 20.7 PPG, 5.2 FTA:confusedshrug:
My picks are Griffin, Dragic, Gerald Green, Taj Gibson, and even though he was an all-star last year too...Noah! He has vastly improved as a leader and carried the team into playoffs with HCA:rockon:

DeAndre Jordan.
I thought this guy completely sucked. I have this friend who's always been like "watch DJ, bro, this is his year." and year after year I'm not impressed, until now. Dude's kind of a beast.

Right on. I remember at the beginning of the season when Doc was hyping him up. I was like "yeah, right." Glad I was wrong, haha.
