Hm, I always referred to him as Lieutenant Frank Drebbin. But I suppose he was a detective as well.

In other news, for those looking to lose another piece of their soul, I just read Naked Gun is getting the re-boot, with Ed Helms (Andy from The Office) taking over the role of Frank Drebbin.

No word on whether O.J. Simpson will reprise his role as Officer Nordberg.
