WTF!!!

The timing of this is bizarre. Why would this happen right before game 1 of the playoffs?

He's played ALL season without problem. If they failed to make the playoffs would this even be an issue?

He's a moderate loss. He can be replaced but he'd been doing a good job of letting Conley rest, and distributing the ball in a safe way and that is crucial for the offense to flow. Grizz need PG's like that, because outside of Conley the offense becomes stagnant.

Now with Udrih.. who knows.

I just find the timing of this to be bizarre, and I don't remember this happening very often. Maybe this happens before the start of every playoffs but I doubt it.

The day before game 1 of the playoffs.. WTF??

As far as I could be bothered to google, tamoxifen is used as to treat hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. It helps blocks estrogen's affects.

Tamoxifen is used during post cycle therapy, so he was undoubtedly juicing prior to that; probably with a short-lived anabolic steroid.

I wonder, though.. usually you use tamoxifen for about 5-7 weeks (1-2 intra, 5-6 post cycle). That would mean he was on juice during the season, correct? This comes as quite the surprise to me. I'm well aware of the fact that 85% of all NBA players use PEDs, however, I have always been under the impression that they would cycle during the off season. :confusedshrug:

With the kind of PEDs they would have access to - and by that I mean the designer stuff that leaves the system within hours - they would be able to do it pretty much whenever they wanted. Especially as the NBA doesn't test after the regular season ends.

He must have read Euroleague's rants about how the NBA never tests for PED's and believed it.

If you know what you're looking for, you can find traces of almost anything. As for the bolded part: that's exactly why I'm surprised anyone could be dumb enough to be actually caught.

I'm pretty sure they do so only infrequently... at least concerning superstars, not some Euro scrub. :lol

This will actually be a pretty big loss Nick Calathas since his starting stint really helps the Grizz with ball movement and he uses his size well on D to make up for foot speed.

Well DWade was down in Miami where all those other athletes were going to get their shit.

Perhaps he and Breezy just have better drugs?

No one is disputing that he has taken something, that part is true it seems.

The timing is weird though. I can't remember this happening before.

He's the only player in the NBA who's taken something? They did a blood test to every player after the season ended or what?

I haven't paid attention to his hairline but I want to stress that steroids do not cause hair loss, unless you're pre-disposed to male pattern baldness.

How many damn times does this have to be explained?

The head of Olympics testing has said over and over no ones testing can even detect the designed drugs the athletes use.

They are 15 to 20 years behind in being able to detect the drugs. That's why they keep the samples in storage.

How many times does this have to be repeated for people to grasp it?

NBA doesn't do blood testing. Only urine testing.

Every time this stuff is explained when these topics come up, and still people here can't get it right........................
