The recent NCAA college champions had Shabazz Napier and Ryan Boatright at starting guards, they are 6'1 and 6'0 respectively. The previous champion Louisville had Peyton Siva and Russ Smith, 5'11 and 6'0....
They really aren't much taller than the average population, yet they play at a high level. Napier won Finals MVP too...

Should give your a farther and higher reach which helps with rebounds, intercepting, stealing and generally disrupting the offence. It additionally lets you see over the defence (see Johnson, Magic) to pass or shoot. You also have a strength advantage. Watch Rodney Stuckey post up

I can also say imagine Shaq wth Curry's shooting ability. Sometimes, its one way or the other you can't have it both ways. Lebron is a one in a generation athlete, even then he has his flaws (cant shoot 3's and is unclutch)

Take a joke bro. :biggums:
Seriously though, of course size matters. Isiah couldn't win until his team was stacked as ****, and he wasn't even necessarily the best player on that team (Joe Dumars). Chris Paul has never gotten out of the second round. Stockton didn't win shit. AI made the Finals once.
Has there ever been a truly, truly dominant small guard?

You can also turn it the other way and say being shorter gives you a faster reaction time, better ball-handling and generally a better shooter.

Bob cousy and Tony parker?
Of course they had great bigs. But they got rings and that's what matters.
You can say the big guys had the most impact. I agree that a guard will never be as dominant as a center but again the guard position has to be there and you can't get a center to play as a guard.
For example, get 5 wilts on the court vs any decent team with players all in their positions and the decent team will win although individually each wilt is many more times more "dominant" then any players from that decent team.

being small doesnt make you inherently better at these things

Didnt the pistons (Isiah and Joe Dumars) won the Lakers (magic) in the nba finals???
Lakers had the definite height advantage yet the pistons won at the highest stage.

Its hard to compare the college game to the pros since guards generally develop faster than bigs.
