With the Lebron and MJ comparisons. Espn is now comparing those 3 kobe has become obsolete almost forgotten by the media. I saw a video with Bill Simmons basically dissing kobe and quickly dismiss him as a potential top 6 player of all time. He will be forgotten outside of LA mentioned about as much as clyde drexler. Maybe he can get a job at turner so he can stay relevant.

Kobe played on a level that Durant will never achieve.

Durant is 7 feet tall but plays like he is 6 foot 1. Ever since he lost to Miami in the NBA finals his legacy will forever be tainted he will never amount to all-time great status (Bird-MJ-Magic) unless the NBA paves the way for him at the end of his career like they did for LeBron James who cannot win a title by himself also Chicago's Wade cannot win a title without LeBron or shaq.

Why do Durants stats blow Kobe out of the water?

Hahaha, rare Kobe love, thanks man, even though I know it's only to put down Durant... I'll take it

Kobe simply does not compare when talking about actually great players. Kobe has never been the best player in the league, won a non-tainted MVP, or been a good finals performer. People are recognizing this now.

Durant has an ugly game. To be the GOAT you need to have moves and be exciting on the court. That

Seriously:

As it stands now, MJ is the GOAT (will always be seen as the GOAT imo) with Magic, KAJ, Russell, & Bird rounding out the majorities top 5.

With their stats continuing to climb as well as them winning multiple regular season mvps, titles, & finals mvps, it will push Lebron into the #2 GOAT behind MJ & cementing KD top 5  (bumping out Russell & Bird)

When Kobe is mentioned, he'll be remembered as the guy that scored 81  but was carried by Shaq for 3 of his 5 titles, chose a video whore over his parents, & allegedly raped a plain white chick da GOAT MJ wouldn't even let Charles Oakley smash :facepalm

So irrelevant you got mad and went hard with the Xenophobia.

You are just reading the truth, no reason to be mad about it.

Kobe is known by most NBA analyst, GM's, coaches, etc as top 10 player all-time. Deal with it.

For most of these fans, it's a "what have you done for me lately" scenario. I'm sorry, but I can't put Durant in the same category as Kobe yet. Of course he'll end up there in a couple of years (barring injury). For now, it's not worth discussing.

That's the dumbest shit i've read on here in a while, and i don't even like KD.

Well Kobe isn't really too relevant now, so it's no surprise that he's getting overlooked.
When LeBron's career will be winding down they will try to prop up new stars instead of him.
It happens to the best of them.
When Kobe retires everybody is gonna show huge respect to him especially if he stays relevant trough TV shows or something.
For example, everybody would put him the top 5 if he died today.

The fact you bring him up OP still makes him relevant
