View Full Version : Why does Blake Griffin always disappear in playoffs games

If the fact that he was putting up against Zach Randolph and Tim Duncan was the excuse for the last two years, then how about this time? Has there a star player whose stats declines so dramatically compared to their regular season's, in a span of 3 years or longer?

Is the game already over?

If they don't call fouls he doesn't play well. He depends on whistles to get his confidence. It's like having the ground pulled out from beneath your feet. He doesn't know what to do.:oldlol:

You mean the "Lob City" and "Flop City" style of play doesn't transfer over well to the playoffs?

Color me shocked.

I see he's been in foul trouble, but just under 4 minutes in the first half? That's absurd. He has some serious work to do in the 2nd half. Good news for the Clippers is that it's a tie game with Blake basically not doing anything. If he steps up, they should get this one.

Props to DJ, on pace for a points-rebounds-blocks triple double :applause:

Well he is in foul trouble tonight

OP, remember when you guaranteed that Blake's rookie season would be his best year and that he already peaked?

Now STFU.

Rosecity loves talking about Blake as if he watches him

Blake has a great transition passing and post up game.. and averages 24 ppg and yet he "relies on fouls to play well".. what a joke

The things this guy does for the love of his man Lamarcus Aldridge

If I just randomly glanced at this post, I'd have thought you were talking about James Harden.

Please don't compare Blake to Harden.

16 points in 19 minutes. The refs took him out of the game with 3 phantom fouls. He didn't play well but he would have helped the Clippers out a lot. They most likely would have won. His lack of presence on the floor hurt his team in several ways.

Whenever he was on the floor, he played well on offense. What limited his impact was foul trouble.

'Foul trouble' kept him out of the game, yet, in 19 minutes, he had 16/3/3 on 6-13? Okay bud.

Love RoseCity & the OP. These guys don't even follow their own teams really.

Probably because under VDN there wasn't a game plan for Blake. It was more, give the ball to CP3 and let him work it out. Plus Blake has not been 100% healthy before during the playoffs.

The game yesterday was terrible. The refs took Blake out of the game by the way they called it. I think once you figure out how the refs are going to call it, they you are free to be you. Blake looked lost out there yesterday. He will bounce back.

Gonna bump this hilarious thread when Griffin dominates the rest of this series.

As long as Griffin stays out of foul trouble, he's going to have a monster series. GS has no hope in hell of stopping him.
