Elite defense or what?

Paul tried to flop here and there but Refs did not bite one bit. :oldlol:

One word. Decent.

CP3 started to light him up late in the fourth quarter. He clearly got under Klay's skin.

CP3 is a handful for any defender. Klay's height/size is the only thing that troubles CP3 for the most part, not really any elite skill by Klay.

CP3 should have won the game for the Clippers, however Darren Collison botched a lot of opportunities in key possessions.

Still had an overall good scoring game though.

28 points. Couldve had 30 if he didnt miss those free throws

CP3 was 3/11 guarded by Klay and 7/12 everyone else

Yes, but those last 2 shots were game changers late in the fourth quarter. CP3 lite him up when it counted most.

Can't deny that, but you also can't deny that Klay held him to 1/9 before he made those two great shots that almost gave me heart attacks :lol

Those were well defended difficult shots

Not much you can do about that

His quickness isnt what it use to be, put a bigger capable defender on him and he will struggle to score and just facilitate.

Westbrook, Curry > CP3

Even though Curry didn't light it up tonight

He had the right idea though.. refs were calling touch fouls early so CP3 tried to take advantage.

The fact that he spent most of the 1st half chasing curry around screens, then the 2nd guarding 6'7 Kay posting him up and STILL almost winning the game is pretty impressive Imo.

Generally speaking it seems the way to stop elite PG's is to stick bigger and lengthier guys on them.

Klay does well on Paul, and we saw how LeBron shut down Rose in the 2011 playoffs. iirc Curry had a lot of trouble against Danny Green in last year's playoffs as well. It's not as easy for the "quick" pgs to get past the bigger guy as you think.

Let's give Klay props though, he guards Chris Paul, Tony Parker, John Wall, Kyrie Irving, etc, letting Steph hide on the Matt Barnes and Danny Greens of the world. That's gotta be hella tiring. Steph should thank the lucky stars Klay and Iguodala are around to hide him on D.

And that's why PG's don't win.

Unless your're a 6'9 freak like Magic.

Wrong. If you don't use hella you might as well give up your nor.cal card. It's just the right word for 90% of situations. The other 10% aren't worth being a part of.

Let's be honest. Chris Paul was looking for the whistle far to often, outside of that Klay as just average.
