@DanWoikeSports
League says there should've been a foul called on Draymond Green late in the 4th quarter on the play resulting in a CP3 turnover.

@DanWoikeSports
"Just prior to the ball going out-of-bounds, Paul was fouled by Green and Paul should have been granted two free throws." Wasn't reviewable

no pun intended

Ya Breen and Van Gundy commented on that, and the refs knew they made a mistake when they went back to the replay, but the NBA rules forbade them from reversing their call because the replay was made to see who last touched the ball, not if there was a foul.

Chris Paul would've missed the free throws.
Oh and he flopped.

Out of all the missed calls, that was the one they admit they got wrong?

It wasnt even that serious of a foul. Had CP3 had control of the ball to begin with it would have never happened, but the ball was at should height when the 'foul' was committed.

Seems odd that THAT was the one they admit they missed...

The quotation marks there to imply that maybe it wasnt a foul?

I watched the game with like 8 people. Not a one thought it wasnt a foul...

i've been saying for awhile that those last touch replays were gonna screw someone. The ball would of be LAC ball if they call it like they do the rest of the 46 mins. CP3 didn't initiate the ball going out of bounds despite his hand still being on the ball.

Cp3 should have never put himself in that position in the first place

THAT was not a foul, you can clearly see from one of the angles that there was absolutely no contact, all ball, Paul just ****ing flopped as usual.
Mother****er should be fined.

Means very little.

Unless the NBA tracks the official/officiating crew that misses calls and use that to determine if they do any more games, I don't fully understand the point of saying, "Hey, our officials screwed you, we are sorry!"

Imo if he does not flop on the play he get's the call, the offical's for the whole game were not calling anything on those types of flops.

Maybe, maybe not.

All this would have been moot had Collison not tried to showboat and catch a pass with one palm :facepalm

even if it wasn't a foul, CP3 didn't initiate the ball going out
in the first 46 mins that is LAC ball 100% of the time even if they see Cp3 touch the ball last, not sure why it changes in the last 2 mins.

There was no foul. CP3 flopped and it backfired.

Warriors deserved to win. CP3 choked. End of story.

Ah yes, of course not.

The league office, who most likely reviewed the incident numerous times from numerous camera angles, is fully incorrect and the official who had a split second to decide to call the foul or not, is correct.

Us officials never make mistakes

Tons of fouls are missed every game. Seems more like the NBA is doing some damage control for one of their most marketable players.

This is playoff basketball there wasn't even that much contact.

Last touched by CP? :confusedshrug: In real time, I can see it being called that way, but if they make it as a make-up call, it would be just as atrocious.

As far as I know, rules state it is out on the last contact, not the initiator. At least what I was taught, granted, it is levels below the pros.

Nb4 clippers 40 ft game 2.

If Blake stays in the game and attacks at will, he'll get to the line & Clippers will build a decent cushion, leading to Hack-A-DJ. So it could happen, I suppose.

if the ball is knocked out of your hands than it is not last touch. I've seen rare times where they actually call it right where the player still has his hands on the ball but it was caused by the opposing player. I think it was a LAL/Chicago game from 2011. now if Paul makes a 2nd touching motion than it should be GSW ball.

what's the point? the game is over. and let's be real that curry 3 attempt was a foul too. I dont support either team but I do think its rather pointless to think that this call influenced the game. IMHO the better team ALWAYS pulls through in a 7 game series.

It was clearly a foul, but Chris Paul reaches in 15-20 times a game and it never gets called.

CP3 may have been fouled on that (the same kind of foul that occurrs 1000x every play) but he most definitely was looking for the flop and it bit him in the ass. Karma you flopping b1tch.

typical game for him and another first round exit

this is exactly what I was thinking. regardless that they couldnt reverse it because of why the replay was called. But their were a few more they missed that I would think they would admit to screwing up on.
