How do you guys usually pick up on girls?

Just understand this. All girls favorite subject is themselves. If you get them to talk about themselves enough, they will eventually start to think "wow we have such a special connection, I really want this guy to bone me now" even though all you did was get her to talk about herself.

I think it's an intangible thing. It happens whether you want it to or not. I guess, like a lot of parts of my mind, as I got older and did more drugs... I started thinking about the why. It's all very interesting, the interaction between male and female even if they aren't talking.
