That isn't that healthy...I hope you've slowed down any further weight loss

1 to 2 pounds a week is the max you should ever do. you are going to lose too much muscle dropping weight at that rate.

Ugh...sorry to hear that.

Yea...just fyi to you or anyone in the thread. if you diet...make sure you are doing some type of weight lifting and getting roughly your body weight in grams of protein per day

A lot of people drop weight too fast and end up burning through and losing too much muscle in the process.

You want to aim for around 1 pound a week while continuing to lift and getting enough protein.

Plus if you lose weight too quickly, you are more then likely going to put it back on.

yes...there is some new information about the brain/weight connection...what is known as the setpoint.

basically it's bad news for fat people. overtime...once you stop exercising and continue to gain weight...your body sets a new setpoint that is actually too high.

So when you try to lose weight, your body actually fights it even though it's unhealthy to stay at the current weight.

So I try to tell everyone I know...just don't get fat in the first place...because once you do...it is far harder to remedy.

yeah I recently gained like 5lbs of fat over the winter months.. you know what I did? go to the gym that I have a membership to and do cardio? NO fukk that, I didn't eat for 3 whole days and lost the weight naturally. Fatties need to put the fast food and soda down.

Fasting can be a beneficial experience for some, but a lot of people just overeat after it ends.

Also, you probably lost more water weight than actual fat in just three days.

Actually, much of the time when people starve themselves, the body goes into "fat preservation" mode, thinking that there is some kind of food shortage. It therefore holds onto the fat in the body, making it harder to lose. The best thing to do is to eat 4-5 reasonable meals a day. This keeps your metabolism going, and makes it easier to drop weight.

Amazing how you assume a guy who can afford to sit court side will be a burden on the public...

You do realize fat people are perfectly capable of being successful and paying their own way right?

This is a myth, it's been repeated millions of times, but it's still a myth. The metabolism doesn't make changes that fast and the effect that smaller meals take on metabolism speed is minimal. It's just a way to control your food intake.

Supply and demand bro, the more medical procedures obese people need, more doctors visits, more hospital beds, more nurse attention, more pills, it drives up the cost of all those things.

Not to mention insurance premiums.

you understand how insurance works right?
Everyone pays a premium to hedge against the risk of monetary damages from bad health. Most people pay in more than they use, that's how the companies make money. However, if you're a fat **** or smoke cigs you will be taking more in insurance than you're paying (which is why you can get denied or forced to pay higher premiums). If lots of people start getting unhealthy and needing more health care, premium prices go up across the board, because private health care companies have to make sure they make a profit. Medical costs in general go up because of increased demand

HOWEVER, with public health care you won't be able to deny people based on pre-existing conditions (like obesity/diabetes). They're forced to insure people like this guy even though they know he'll probably be a loss. They don't care if it's a loss because TAX PAYERS ARE FUNDING THE HEALTHCARE AND THERE IS NO INCENTIVE FOR PROFIT.

There are medical reasons some people can not overcome that cause them to be fat. This accounts for at most 10 percent of the obese population. I count myself as a fairly tolerant person but there's nothing to be "proud of" when you weigh over 300 pounds.

Whatever

Rovell is a POS and massive hack who doesn't deserve to be called a journalist.

His ass should have been fired and blacklisted from sports journalism a long time ago for being terrible at his job.

Take the bullshit drama he created with 2012 Heisman winner Johny Football. Claims he has video of Manziel asking for money so he can buy rims for his car as well as witnesses who can prove it. (never mind that Manziel comes from a wealthy family that made their money in oil) He and an unnamed ESPN employee are the ONLY two people to have ever seen the said video as he could never produce it and could never get a single person to come out on the record. His entire case was built on numbered items being sold online and anonymous sources he admitted to sometimes not even meeting yet he didn't think to look into the many other CFB stars who also have tons numbered autographed items for sale (Clowney for example) from internet memorabilia dealers. When asked about it he claimed that it wasn't relevant to his story. :facepalm

Or how about the time a kid on twitter told him (as a joke) he ran an escort service and was losing money from the NBA strike? DR went and wrote a whole article about how the strike was ruining this guys business it w/o ever bothering to research the claims. He got all his info from an rando that tweeted at him which is like writing an article on European basketball based off a Euroleague post. :facepalm

Dude is pathetic.

OK, that's some scummy shit. But the people he is ridiculing are exponentially worse. Being fat should be a capital offense.
