According to google search data?! Just cause someone googles a team, doesn't mean they are their favorite

:coleman:
Where did you read favorite? Popular doesn't mean favorite. You can be hated and popular.

For example: Hitler,Osama,Castro.

Even if it "doesn't mean shit," it's about what you would expect. LeBron is the most popular athlete in the US and Heat-#1, Lakers-#2 in searches.

They should just say "most searched" and cut out their interpretation of what most searched means.

I am suprised Payton Manning won Indiana. I would have thought Larry Bird would have got it, since Indiana is the "Basketball State", and Larry Bird is from West Baden, IN

Most people here in AL only care about Alabama and Auburn football.

I'm pretty sure we hold Nick Saban higher than Lebron

What makes it worse is that Baseball has always been considered "Americas Favorite Pastime" and "Americas Sport". Yet Baseball is declining every year it seems.

Nice to see Mayweather and Silva on that list. Those two are the Fight Party kings. Nothing gets me more hype than those two fighting.

Indiana still can't get over Peyton

Nope. Read the first paragraph

"Athletes rank right among the biggest musicians and movie stars when it comes to fame. Michael Jordan, perhaps the greatest NBA player of all time, is one of the most recognizable figures on the face of the earth. With that in mind, which players are the most popular? Using Google search volume data from the last 12 months (April 2013 – April 2014), the chart above illustrates the most searched-for athletes in each of the 50 States."
