I honestly thought (said it in plenty of Knicks threads) going into the season if the Knicks let Beno play his natural game he would have been there 2nd best player and they would have made the playoffs in the East.

Sadly was not to be the guy still clearly has the same skills as when he played terrific off the bench for the Bucks last year and when he was with the Kings.

Sometimes it's just to hard when your a high IQ player to be surrounded by low IQ players like he was in NY.

I don't know if Beno could be Knick's second best player, but I agree with the rest. Beno is a skilled player and can be a very valuable, when he's motivated and used correctly.

The problem is, Knicks defense doesn't rival the Grizzlies. So when Woodson left poor Beno in the game, the defense cleared out and left him on an island against Beal. As we saw last night, Beal is pretty damn clutch. With 15 seconds left and on defense, he allowed Beno Udrih to cover Bradley Beal on an isolation. Grizz would know how to mask his defense because they DO have great team defense + everyone buys into their system.

Mike Woodson was clueless at the end of games on both offense and defense. When he didn't have the high IQ of kidd in the clutch, the Knicks seemed pathetic as fck.

The problem with Woodson was that there was no accountability with some of his players, just because he likes them. Melo, JR, Felton were given permission to shoot anything they wanted and if they missed all they got was his usual angry face in their direction, with Melo not even that. Meanwhile, if Shump didn't rotate properly or Hardaway got lost on a screen, Woodson pulls them. Fck potatohead, he was not their biggest problem but he was a BIG problem. Get a good coach in here who won't coddle JR and tell him to continue shooting out of his slump. HE'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO BE GIVEN THAT PERMISSION. HE IS A NON COMMITTED FCKER WHO IS GIFTED WITH ATHLETICISM.

Kerr or DFish, whoever comes here better be ready to bench JR for games at a time.
