In all my years of watching basketball (since 1995) I have never seen a #1 seed so completely terrible as the Indiana Pacers.

Has there ever been a 1 seed as bad as them?:confusedshrug:

They're a 48-50 win team on a decent East conference. Not their fault the East royally sucked this year

WTF you mad niqqu? Its one of the best definsive teams in history of the NBA. Theyve been on a mad decline recently but thats just a bluff so they can attack Miami with more surprise and venom in the SF.

Theyll get to the Finals and most likely win the god damn ****ing thing.

I dont think there the worst, there not that bad of a team i still think they fell off due to team chemistry and trying to get back to old days. But they are in a sh1tty conference

They're not the worst but they haven't been that impressive either...However, we'll see what happens in the playoffs.....

Almost. Somebody did an SRS study and Indiana came out as the second worst 1st seed since 1990.

Probably the 1999 Miami Heat...:confusedshrug:
The Pacers have "statistically" a historically great defense...

Or maybe the 2009 Cavs? '81 Lakers? They lost to Houston who was 40-42.

Talent-wise the 09 Cavs were definitely the worst team to ever win 60+ games. But even they would still beat this fraud ass Pacers team.

well they've been playing like shit. nobody would have said this about them to start the year. and while positive signs have been few and far between of late, you can't rule out a rejuvenation going into the next round. i still think they have the talent to compete even if they're at the bottom of the list of contenders that might win it all.

what #1 seed has been worse? well i'd definitely take this pacers team over iverson's sixers from 01. starting eric snow and tyrone hill? indiana are well designed to take it to that team. they'd clamp down on iverson like crazy, throw a variety of looks and defenders at him. hibbert even in his current state matches up well with mutombo. indi would have better defense and way more versatility on offense. i'd take em in 6.

kidd's nets the following year were better, very balanced unit. would make for an excellent series but neither team would be the favourite.

if kg's wolves were better in his mvp year it wasn't by much. what about the jermaine o'neal ron artest pacers from the same year? or those nash lead run and gun suns teams that had so much trouble grinding it out in the playoffs with d'antoni at the helm? or one of the weaker pistons rosters from those same few years?

in short your challenge isn't very difficult to meet and this is yet another example of trying to be bold and coming off dumb.

also thats just since 2000 since the 90s were pretty stacked and i don't know much history before that.
